any possibilty to safely hide / save your gear ?

Burying gear has always been my favorite solution. Though it shouldn't be "safe" from anyone with trained eyes (disturbed soil or some other indicator should mark the spot for a given amount of time). It would be much harder to find than a tent but a little balance might be needed. Maybe something along the lines of needing a shovel to bury/dig up items and something to store/protect the items in. -

Yes. Stay off public hive servers and avoid shady private hives. That said, you made some other mistakes that would have gotten you killed most of the time. Don't "walk" or even run in an open field. Use cover. Don't hang around a chopper crash for any amount of time.

Lots of adverts disguised as regular posts. You can almost always tell by the person posting them. Instead of having a thread in the server section (since that's what it is, a set of private servers, not a public mod) they spam us with nonsense all over the subforums. In fact, they got them from the SA. -

This happens to me as well but its hard to reproduce on my end. It'll normally happen if I'm on a populated server and moving across large areas of the map. A flush normally solves this for me as well. How many gigs of ram do you have? -

I want fancy new features because frankly, no matter how much fun the mod has been and still can be, it's still has very extremely shallow gameplay once you know what you're doing. I want hardcore indepth survival added to the game. It hasn't really even been approached in the mod and that alone would add an entirely new play style for people to choose from. I want hardcore zombies as well. I want to shit a brick when I see one coming at me. I want to see stealth added back to the gameplay. I like the idea of having to search everywhere for loot rather than a corner of a room. I want players to be an equal threat as the environment. Right now that is severely lopsided towards players and the mod becomes a massive deathmatch. There's a lot that can be improved and that's why I'd hate to see a "polished" mod with a price tag. -

Hey, welcome back. You're still misinformed after all this time? It's been nine months between your OP and this post. Did you use that time to learn how to mod the mod at all? I'm almost certain you could have added at least two kickass features in that time. Two quick questions. Are you an American and were you out of high school by the time Obama was elected the first time? I'm just trying to figure out if you're from the No Child Left Behind generation. It's sort of a hobby for me. -

Yeah, this game MUST be tailored to people who can't sit still for 3 minutes and want to deathmatch in Elektro. Otherwise it'll totally fail yo. I personally play on a server for multiple hours once I join but that first three minutes really really pisses me off. I mean, fuck that's like 2.5% of my playtime wasted!!! I could have spent that running in the woods to meet up with my pals! That brings me to another point, wtf?!? Why can't I just spawn on my pals? That would make the game super fun for us and it would leave so much time for activities like shooting noobspawns on the coast or server hopping the NWAF. They missed the boat big time. If only they had charged us give to ten bucks for the mod. We would totally be having fun right now. It would be just like the mod, but slightly better. So much win!! But no, Rocket had to try to make something "better". LOL @ custom weapons, clothing that impacts your inventory, health risks, smarter zombies, an improved map and animations. What the fuck was that guy thinking? Now he's out climbing a rock somewhere wasting our time. OMFG! If god wanted us to climb mountains he would have made them smaller. Rocket totally failed by not releasing a slightly polished mod back before WarZ completely destroyed DayZ. Lol at rocket! Artifacting, wasn't that an issue with the model, not the texture? -

I think the issue is the \SQF directory in your string. Copy your dayz_communityassets directory to your \z\addons\ dir and then update your paths associated with your models, textures, and anything you've changed in the various config files. (just go through and delete the \sqf\ from anything you've added) It should look like "z\addons\dayz_communityassets\book_black_clean512_co.paa". Once you do that it should work. :) edit: Half awake. Move all of your directories from z\addons\sqf\ to z\addons\ just in case. Then update your paths in your various files. It'll just save you some headaches later on. :)
