That was your mistake right there. The only people I'll turn by back to are my [GB] brothers and some of the Musty crew. Anyone else, I'm keeping an eye on. You made yourself a target. You can still help people but you've got to take precautions. There's very little downside in shooting another player that doesn't see it coming. The risk vs reward was heavily in his favor. Now if it was far riskier to take that shot just to score a better backpack and gun would he still do it? That's a question I hope gets answered over time. As of now, the environment is far too easy to conquer and the only real threat to us is other players and ourselves and that puts the game right back into the same category as all the other shooters out there.

I would easily pay 20 bucks for a quality map like Chernarus. That's going to be a ways down the road though. Making maps like that is not an easy task. There are some good community maps though. I hope they all get a facelift and make it to the SA. Altis and Stratis would be great.

How are you joining the servers? Through DayZCommander? Are you seeing DayZ splash screens when you load the game?

Did you run both games to the start menu before installing dayz? Are you completely updated? i see your maxframes are still set to 1000. Change that to 1 for now.

Same file. You'll find them in your documents folder under \arma 2. Copy both the Arma2 adn arma2oa into a set of spoiler tags.

You could try deleting your dayz folder and installing it via Commander.

As others have said, Arma and DayZ is cpu intensive. I've seen quite a few people with i7's and high end cards complaining about the mod. Can you post your config file and launch params? Also, where are you getting these low frames? In the woods? Cities? Towns? what servers are you having these problems on? People really need to post as much info as possible when asking for help.
