  1. I have thought of something like this before. I thought maybe you would be able to go to the tower at Green Mountain (just for example) and you could record a message to broadcast with your own mic. This message would play to anyone who had a radio on the broadcast channel. (if channels were implemented the first channel for instance). Anyone could record a message or even go there and cancel all the messages. I think it would provide a tool for some very dynamic game play.

    Dying and the Consequences-SA

I believe that a system should be implemented where you cannot loot your own body, maybe a message that appears when you try to loot your own body saying, "There is nothing to be found." or something along those lines. As for the tent scenario, maybe when you place a tent anywhere in Chernarus it will automatically mark it on only your map. If someone finds your dead body they will have an option to add your markers to their own map. IMO this would make death something to fear.

    DayZ for Counsoles :]

Honestly, I am tired of reading "please, oh please port DAYZ to console" posts. I am going to tell you why this game will not work on consoles. First of all, the Xbox 360 has 512 MB of GDDR3 RAM clocked at 700 MHz. My four year old school laptop has more memory than the Xbox 360. Also, the Xbox 360 has a triple core processor that is clocked at 3.2 GHz. This is not terrible but it probably not even close to the majority of DAYZ players' CPUs. The Xbox 360 uses the Xenos GPU. This, by today's standards, is rubbish. Most PC gamers smoke this card, at the very least, 5 fold. Even with next gen console it would be hard to beat a PC of last year or even two years ago. Consoles are made for casual gamers. This is the reason why so many FPS and arcade games come out for them. *Also as a side note to the ones saying DAYZ is a FPS: DAYZ is based on ARMA II which is indeed a military simulator game not a FPS game.* This game could never be run on a console or next gen console based upon the requirements need to properly run the game. Remember when BF3 came out for Xbox 360? It looked like shit until you downloaded the good texture pack because the game could not be fit on the DVD with the good textures. So what does that mean? Think about the size of Chernarus. Are they going to make a 5 disk set for the game? No, of course not. That is totally a turn-off for the gaming community. Disk sets were only cool in the 90's about the time of the original playstation. Another point here is that no matter what anyone says, I fully believe that no matter how you try to configure it, ARMA controls will never be possible on a controller. I wouldn't even want to try to play it with a controller, it would ruin the game because in order to play the game you NEED more than 12 buttons or so to play. Also, the console gaming community is absolutely ignorant and, that is all i have to say on that matter. To conclude this reply: (I'm sorry for any misspellings, I'm not reading this over again to check it, it is just a reply and most of you will still get the ideas.) * Consoles do not have enough power to run a game like DAYZ/ARMA II and even IF it did it would be in a disk set if not downloaded. * The console community is pitiful. * If you try to play DAYZ with a controller, you're gonna have a bad time. * Please, for the sake of the Suggestion forums never post a "port-to-console" thread. And for those of you who read all of this, Thank you for your time! --- Strouth ---
  4. How about you feel bad for the zombies when you kill too many them because they used to be people just like you. When you kill a zombie you need to start drinking liquor and taking anti-depressants soon or your character will shed tears for all the once-humans he/she has just shot and killed. Also, after killing too many zombies your character begins to get very psychologically ill and begins to experience fainting randomly and frequently. The only cure is to kill some players for a while.

    "containers" instead of loot piles

I think it is a good idea. As you said earlier, it won't be done anytime soon but, its worth implementing in the standalone game. For the sake of authenticity, the game needs containers. I don't normally keep my firearms, food, and water littered on the floor.

    DayZ FOR XBOX 360!!

Console is nowhere near as sophisticated as PC gaming, unless your PC is from 2005. I'm sure the specs on almost all of the people that have posted on this thread have specs that far exceed those of the Xbox 360. Also, as for the suggested port to console, why would anyone what this to happen? The console couldn't handle it and, the game would have to come in a disk set or a huge DL. This is not a good idea.
