Trust me I know the issue here Etyrza. Your easiest bet is to simply, not play female, you can actually change yourself to a male I believe by selecting a new "skin" from the "profile" page at the main menu of ArmA II when running DayZ. Outside of that I don't know any way to "Force" the skin issue... I personally don't play female character's on DayZ because of this issue, despite my desire to.

You know OP... you can rationalize it however you want.but no... at the end of the day, despite ALL the flaws with the game system. You're simply blaming these flaws as why you're acting like a horrible person. You use the word "Honor" in the worst way possible, To be shown honor, you must first give a chance, to give a chance, you must not kill on sight. There are things within the game that would allow a player to tell if another was hostile... bandit skins I'll shoot on sight. And I'll shoot ghilli wearing players equally as quickly, same with camo wearing players. And as much as it pains me to say it, I'll shoot female characters too [since they cannot change their skin, you don't know if they're bandits or not.] that give me 4 types of players to shoot on sight, and 2 types "Hero's and Survivors" that I'm willing to give the benifit of the doubt to. The inherent flaw here is that Survivors could be bandits that have respawned. This situation of a hard to trust envronment is part of what makes DayZ so good. The problem however comes from players who decide "Fuck it, everything dies." that IS a decision that you have made, you have decided "fuck your fellow man, you're on your own." And that's fine, the game can reward that... but it can also punish that, again look at the types of players I'm more willing to shoot. There is this, defense people like you use, that "because it's a game" or that "but, if the system was like this I wouldn't be a dick." the truth is, that you would still be a dick, why, because you LIKE being a dick. You are the reason that players like me begin shooting on sight, that we begin taking revenge on the helpless because of all the bs that we were put though. "The abused becomes the abuser" as they say. for instance, just today, I had 4 deaths within 5 minutes, 3 of those deaths were due to being shot right out of spawn, the first death was getting lit up by someone with an LMG. which lead to the other 3. One was a ghilli sniper camping the spawn zone on the southwest part of the map. I literally spawned, moved, and got shot from behind. I encountered 2 more spawns exactly like this before I switched servers. So, it's fine, do what you want to do...

When I say private hive, I'm talking one that's heavily moderated against hackers and the like. And snipers camping noobs in Cherno/Elektro is standard DayZ bs.

I've been playing for, oh a couple of months now, and I'm really REALLY itching to get into a private hive that get's me out of the public "Script Kiddy" playground. and really, other than here, I'm not sure where to go to find one. could anyone help out here?

Clothing's been back in for... atleast 3 patches [he brought it back in when he brought back humanity changes] Camo Clothing and Ghilli are the only two that are "legit" though, well and civilian clothing.

So, what's the overall issue when it comes to PVP on this server. I'm totally down for shooting bandits on sight... but is PVP absolutely frowned apon? Does this mean you shoot on sight if you see a "Tree Wookie"? Or someone in Camo Clothing [both of which are items fairly easily obtained ingame] is this private hive or standard hive? Anything else you care to add about this server?

you play Videogames for fun... I agree... Guess what you're playing now: A SIMULATION. While considered a "game" Simulations deviate from the standard ideas of a game in being difficult to master generally, and overall "simulating" and experience. Part of the Simulation in DayZ, is being paranoid that those two hours you put in were for naught because some asshat wants what you have. Now I personally, do wish it was a "little" toned down in this regard. As I've tried to help people and gotten shot for my trouble, I've tried to ignore people and not be a bother, and gotten shot for my trouble... I've tried to be a bro and I get shot for it... I've been a dick and had more success. And that's the problem, being an asshole nets you more than being the "Good guy." Which I suppose, is true for life as well, which is just sad. Overall the game is fun, but at times overly frustrating, if only because, well... people... people don't want to team up, and they're not willing to let you help them then move on. Too many people just want to watch DayZ burn.

I've taken to killing anyone I see... because frustration finally set in after a month of playing and getting hacked, sniped, hatcheted, shot, stabbed and betrayed. I also let them know I was driven to do it by circumstance... and that it's simply revenge for all the times I was taken down... It's oddly good stress relief.

Axes can be found in various areas, though I have some of my best luck finding them in barn spawns. I recommend you go to dayz.db/map and run it in the background while playing for references to help you learn where you're going and where to find loot. If you just seem to find nothing anywhere on a perticular server, it IS possible that a hacker hit the server, or that everything's just been picked clean by scavengers.

.How long you have been playing- About a month, almost, off and on .How often do you play- oh jeese, between a couple of different games, I play quite a bit, I boot up atleast once a day. .Why you have chosen that lifestyle- Well I run a lone wolf, not because I have to but just, I enjoy surviving on my own.. it can be down right annoying at times, but I feel the reward I get for surviving on my own a few days is worth it. .What drives you to play like that- I really don't know, I've always liked post-apoc settings... and I tend to play in those alone [fallout ect] so i guess it just comes natural to me to want to lone wolf. .A normal session in DayZ for you- Well this has changed recently, it used to be just about survival, but lately... lately it's been about retrubution, to pay back everyone I come across what I've delt with, I guess I'm just finally comming to a point I want to fuck other people's day up because of how much mine's been fucked. .Has this game affected aspects of your real life- Actually yes, I can now properly decern dirrection using the sun/moon as cardinal dirrection points, and I can properly use a map and compass now. .What made you choose DayZ-I just kinda stumbled across it... I'm a huge zombie fan, and this offered a type of play that, well, you frankly don't get with L4D or any other zombie game on the market. .Why you play DayZ- because despite all the bs... it's still rewarding to survive those few hours before a sniper ends your life. [and because I keep finding new stuff] .How you feel the team has done with the game-overall decent, given it's been one guy all this time. .The impact of Hackers/ scripters- Huge, I dont think i was in before hackers were an issue... I think I came in a bit after, still I think they've had a hugely negative impact on the game. The only one's of note I'd say are mostly harmless are the "Jason" hacker running around with a Jason friday the 13th skin stalking people, and "Ridin Dirty" who blairs Ridin Dirty while flying around on a bike. .If you have stopped playing or thinking of stopping, why- hackers, scripters... learning curve, all of it has made me consider, I've even stepped away for a few days at a time, but I always come back. . EDIT - Will you be buying the stand a lone game- Yep, totally.

Alpha is generally internal in the first place. The fact that we even have our hands on an Alpha build is frankly, kinda insane... though given the scope and idea of this mod, it makes sense as to why it's being done the way it is. For those of you unused to alpha/beta testing, all I can say is Yes letting the devs know there's an issue is GOOD, however BITCHING CONSTANTLY AND CRYING THAT THE PATCH BROKE EVERYTHING EVER QQ I JUST WANT TO PLAY QQ. and crying all the time does nothing but wear on the devlopers nervs, then the project get's abandonded... are there issues, yes there are issues, but you're testing a game that's BARELY A GAME. In alpha, the core gameplay isn't even down yet! By the time this reaches beta [i'd give it 6 months, if Rocket get's a dedicated team behind him in that time] we'll have the core gameplay and it'll just be tweaking. Hell Mechwarrior Online's having similar issues, so has any betatest I've been a part of... "Any beta ever" So considering this is an Alpha... it's to be expected even more often than what you'd expect in a beta. Fuck I'm getting tired of seeing all the self entitled qqers out there when we're testing a damn game.

Windows 7 is fine... it's a hell of a lot better than Vista was, and brings back alot of the functionality from Windows XP into the newer age OS... Seriously though, XP is archaic and outdated... you can't even access DX11 features in games... it's not worth being stuck in the past.

While I can see where OP is comming from... most pathagons would be killed by cooking the meat to high temperatures anyway... [most foodborne illinesses come from not cooking the meat to a proper temperature, and most thigns that would cause a food borne illness can be cooked out of meat if you meet the proper temperatures] so uh... yeah... And let's not forget plenty of people stored meat for long peroids of time simply by using salt. Yall too hung up on the modern ways.
