thats a really twisted movie haha. but yeah pretty much same storyline.(i wouldnt change the whole of dayz into this. ) but it would be a nice add on right. leave the stress of surviving against bandits and zombies. leave it up to us with the same tools etc

HUNGER GAMES So this topic is about something a little different to the 'thunder dome' etc I think as a seperate server you could have a 'hunger games' style competition. Each player is spawned into the middle with no weapons, nothing. In the middle lays a huge arsenal of weapons which anyone can grab after being released. Different maps(arenas) may have different weapons, climates and geography, which leads to new strategies. which will mean players must play it by ear in order to survive. add to the emotional depth that Dayz already has on us. it still remains perma-death. Each game is in a 'round' fashion where when a certain number of players are ready the game starts. New survival tools introduced. and it will be beneficial for players to use them if they want to stay alive. teaming with somebody in the beginning may save you. but 'bandits' will be on their own. not to forget if you did team with somebody, either one would have to kill each other at the end. Statistics keeping track of the hunger games champs. I could add a lot more of my own ideas into this, but i'd prefer to see how this goes first. The reason why Dayz could pull this off, is the survival basis of the game already, the ability to modify the game with spawn points and equipment spawns. the weather system already on the game. the large extensive maps on Arma2 which are currently unused at the moment. I was on the outskirt of Elektromand noticed a lot of deaths happening on the map, a tell tale sign people were being executed by a hacker.. Anyway as weary as i was i still approached Elektro, hearing gun fire in the city i wanted to be a part of it. And a bunny AI runs up to me and sits next to me. I though it was cool at first, then i realised it was a player! HARDSTYLEX Was giving away my position i believe, Because after it ran away, "hardstyleX was killed" displayed on my hud And i was immediately being shot at from an unknown location. Just pretty sick of the hcking. as everyone is.

Playing at 9:40pm - 9:45pm Gmt +12 (New Zealand) on the 5/08/12 On Server US - 1141 Hacker Nuked the Server, Everyone dies Unknown Hacker, Started setting fires to the forest near Otmel, Hacker is holding a pistol and appears from nowhere, I explode and die again. Same thing is happening to a friend named "niko" We worked together to get enough information about the hack. The people spawned in are: Silent Vinny Serif Bunch of other guys not spawned in, just in the lobby at the moment Hope this is enough Cheers Guys :D

the problem with that is i didnt get respawned to a beach..i just starved out there lol. but i think the buttons back now.

what happens when you spawn in the debug plains? does that mean i have to run all the way back to shore somehow? there is no way to kill yourself out there except a painful starvation process that no one wants to be a part of.

i think pvp is part of the game. (the only thing that pisses me off, are hackers.) i think who you have the real problem with is yourself and where you fit with this game. Cause it wouldnt be happening if people didnt want it to happen right? But you should just go with the flow. i think getting good with the small stuff will keep you alive longer rather than seeking the big stuff . and WHEN you get owned, you wont be too pissed off.
