also If you are trying to follow someone into a game from steam it can be a bit temperamental, launch game first then shift+tab then join friend

that UAC then? try shutting down steam, then right click steam Icon and 'run as administrator', also right click on DayZ in steam library>properties>local files>verify game cache

good place to meet up really, as almost all of the time, everyone can get to it easy enough

ah, this explains why I got horribly lost last weekend trying to meet up with someone ... thought It was just me being drunk, obviously being drunk with a broken compass isn't a good combo

why would you want your items protecting? so the player who killed you gets pristine gear? lol. If I find one, damaged or not I just use it for the extra space. I couldn't give a monkeys what condition my gear is in after I take damage :D

strange, my old rig which was crossfired 5770's the only problem I had was every so often it looked like I had been flashbanged in slow motion, mainly in the trees (possibly something to do with the sunlight coming through trees?) they always performed ok other than that though -

good ol' 58 webbing please :P even a respirator pouch so when we get the gas mask back it doesn't hog backpack slots :)
