glad you are all sorted. Tip for adaware (and many other AV programs) exclude steam folder from searches as the odd game.exe can throw up a false positive :)

I don't see the point of deleting and buying everything again. It could just be something simples. My ingame server browser can be a bit funny/unresponsive sometimes, I just use steam to launch and filter for my fav servers, takes longer to appear than it used to (maybe something with the switch to steam browser?) but they do pop up eventually. Try running Ccleaner see if you have anything on your PC with botched install/registry errors -
no you can't climb them, just crouch at the base of it lol.. the dense green ones.

I mean have the slider 3/4 in favour of quality :) also in the ingame gfx options there's a gfx memory setting, check if that is set to how much memory your card actually has, or even try auto? -
yeah, best starting out on low population servers until you get the mechanics of the game etc without having to worry about getting shot by someone. Crouch always, unless you hear the zombies agro and start chasing you. You can hide in a pine tree and they won't be able to hurt you, also when running from them try to run in and out of trees, keeping trees blocking their line of sight on you and they will lose interest and just wander off

I find adaware quite ok for gaming http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.phpfree version even has a gaming mode that leaves you alone while gaming/watching movies etc

desync is a funny thing, affects us all in different ways at sometime. You may get the drinking bug, someone in the next town can't pick something up, someone else drops their backpack to exchange for a bigger one and it seemingly disappears etc

there's no fisticuffs in the mod, sorry. It is similar in appearance but not the same as standalone and if you give it a chance is much more rewarding when you get the gist of things. The mod is probably more harsh to a new player than SA is but at this moment I think there's alot more to it.

yes tbh, I think it maybe desync related come to think of it. Normally ties in with not being able to pick stuff up sometimes.

also is your windows 32 bit using all that ram? has there been a fix for that? (I honestly don't know I've been 64 bit since xp64 pro) I thought it only uses 4GB unless using some sort of trickery. -

I find it runs better at native res and if you are using geforce experience settings move the slider to about 3/4 of the way to quality. mine: i5 4460 3.2/3.4 12gb ram gtx750ti -
do the servers in the browser show as high ping before you join?

yeah I get this lots, have to cancel action, interact with something else and try again

think I stopped playing around 0.6 or a couple later. Then returned to try it again and it was a whole new learning curve :)

put a few hours in today, loving it. Could seem harsh to some people trying to get warm who aren't geared up correctly though. Few more burning barrels scattered around maybe? especially up north

I love the abundance of enter-able buildings. a) go to military loot area and find it's already been looted b ) scour the houses and be pleasantly surprised :)
