    In a situation like DayZ, the .22 would be king. Seriously. You can carry over 1000 rounds of .22 ammo in some cargo shorts. It's light. It's cheap. It's accurate. It's quiet. And moreover, it's absurdly plentiful.

    Honestly? North Barracks is a great place to be if the poor guy hadn't spawned up starin down an MG. One player could easily hold off a squad in it if they had a good aim. You're lucky you didn't end up on the tail end of a headshot ;)

    Tents are pretty easy to find, if you're brave. Hit up the Cherno apartment complexes. They're positively littered with good stuff.

    In my opinion, you'd be best with one man with a sniper on a hill above your location, two men with high powered weapons (AKMs, M14s, whatever floats your boat), and one man with a close quarters weapon (M5, 74u, M4). And unless you intend to be playing at night, you want PDWs for sidearms.

    What weapon you have out seems to play a role. My friend and I noticed that I run faster than him with an assault rifle out, but slower if I draw my pistol.

    The Lee Enfield is one of the loudest weapons in the game. You have now learned that the hard way. Perhaps next time, you will consider using your sidearm or a quieter primary.

    If you weren't hacking, then booting/banning you for no reason is against the rules for server operators. They could have their hive-rights revoked.

    I always play with a RL friend. There's some fun to be had with being the lone survivor, strolling through the wastes with nothing more than a gun and a canteen, but things are so much easier with someone to watch your back and help carry the loot.

    I'm fine with Zs knocking me out. I'm fine with server hopping. (Just don't do it when I'm trying to kill you.) I'm not fine crushing my head when I try to open doors while prone. That one has bugged me for a while.
