I killed someone on the ship yesterday. Guy shot twice at me but I didn't die. Hell, for some reason I didn't even bleed. I ran up the hill, waited like 10 minutes for the guy to think he is safe, then shot him while he was running around the top of the ship. My character has been alive for 2 weeks now. Half his shit is ruined or badly damaged and I am loving it lol.

There are too many factors with the time. If I join a server and it is desynced like crazy and red links keeps showing up I don't want to stay on that server. I've joined servers that said 60 ping and it took forever to move stuff around in my backpack. Sorry but no I am not going to stay at that server. Recently the game has been crashing and when I try to rejoin after restarting the game I have to wait. No.

The servers I am able to get on are very laggy. The game is crashing for me more than usual now. Both times that it crashed on me I just pressed the P button to check the players on the server. Now every single server I try to go on it just sits there at "waiting for host." EDIT : Ok seems I am not the only one. Also when i sign on my screen will flash red for a second and my character would scream like he is getting hit. Any reason why?

I don't care about server hopping for loot until they fix the loot spawn timing.

Psssshhhhh the DayZ alpha is more secure than Battlefield 4! :P

I vote for a 5 second log out timer.. Longer is just plain dumb in my opinion. Say you have to go somewhere and you log out.. sitting there waiting for 20 seconds isn't ideal. 5 seconds would be enough time to make sure someone don't logout while shooting them.....

Still getting rubberbanding on just about every server. Also getting a huge amounts of my guy resetting after switching servers due to the red broken link. When I see that I switch servers.

If a zombie outbreak happens fast at an area that doesn't really look like it could spread the word about an outbreak (ie the small towns around woods and forests) then none of that stuff would be around. Some of it is planned I think anyways. First account banned? woops.

I was able to get at least one m4 per life but ever since the latest patch that made the magnum spawn I see no m4s no matter what server I am on or what air field I am at. I went to them all. Is it broken/out of the game? or just really hard to get now? Either way, it dropped how much fun I have in this game about 40%

Yea. I was reading around the forums before I posted this to make sure nothing was said already and I've read multiple posts that he did and was like "Jesus Christ what an immature kid." I have not read anything he posted after I said I wont so I have no clue what he is typing now. I don't care. He seems to be a prick to multiple people on the forums and I don't pay attention to people like him. Actually I just found the options to ignore everything from him so I did that. Anyways... Actually playing more last night and I came to the conclusion that some of you are right! The lesser spawns IS a good thing. Before I would run into multiple people with M4s but last night I ran into multiple people with no gun. That means people were more open to talk and team up. Once they got a goddamn melee weapon I got axed in the back though haha. No problem though. It's the game! I found it more like an achievement when I finally found a M4 off a dead body. It just forces you to play a different style. I've put a total of 81 hours into this game and multiple hours of the mod. The alpha is light years a head of the mod and it is only an alpha!! Which is an amazing thing.

I find the fireaxe a lot. It is usually on the 2nd floor of the restaurants. (i think that is what they are)

See through what? I don't shoot unless I am fired upon. I don't do that KoS bs. How many times I died because I asked someone if they were friendly. All my friends don't like the game so I am alone most of the time. I have almost 80 hours into this and I help the newer players with anything they need, Info/food, so good try there guy. Only hostile when they are towards me and that includes punching If someone shoots at me it will be nice to fight back instead of running zig zag and probably getting shot anyways. I don't know the map inside and out so I rely on the coast line/cities to get around. I am so sorry that I suck so much that I can't stay hidden. People have different play styles. Get over it... I know it is an alpha blah blah blah.. I was just making a post asking a simple question and stating my opinion about the fact. but /shrugs.. I am done with you. I don't go online to "argue" on a video game forum. From this point on if you post anything it wont be read from me but have fun. But for real now.... I have found the magnum in every building I looked in. Seems like they replaced the m4 with the magnum. I usually find bullets for it in restaurants which is a little weird but whatever, I will take it. I can accept the lower amount of M4s if the spawning of items worked properly. Hopefully in the next patch. From my understanding it is still effed up. I know the zombies are!

hah yea I find it but never any ammo for it.. I just liked it cause it gave everyone an equal chance to survive. The "hardcore" might hate it though :P :D

Meh whatever. Cool story... Anyways, ignoring jackasses, I really do think the spawn rate should be more than 50%. I know I am in the minority but It gets annoying when you go to 3 military bases and find a shit ton of ammo but no gun. It takes like 2 hours to run to them all and to have nothing there when you do is kind of "meh." Maybe I just don't know where to go or maybe there is still problems with items respawning. I spawned somewhere in the middle of the map before and found a few army buildings in the middle of no where. I only really know the right side of the map. No it wasn't the main airfield in the middle. I know where that is at least. I just don't go there. :D I was just asking because it seemed like it was taken out or something. I didn't see anything in the patch notes about the m4 spawn rate and I hoped it wasn't broken because of the magnum.

I want more sound and feedback of you hitting zombies or players and them hitting you. I thought I was doing pretty damn good dodging a zombie hits but after I killed him with my bat I noticed I was bleeding. I didn't know he was hitting me! Hope that gets fixed soon. I didn't even know if I was hitting them or not. It takes a lot of hits to kill a zombie and there is one small muffled sound effect you can hardly hear if you hit with a melee. There is also no feedback from the zombie showing you hitting it. I had a few times where some other player was hitting me and I had no clue lol. I turned around and started hitting him. I killed him but he got knocked down then stood back up. He was knocked out standing up! :D

I can't find food or water. Well, I found a can of beans but had no way to open it. I don't know how to open cans. Can anyone tell me? IMO your hunger and thirst comes too fast. Almost every building I go in there is nothing there! I was thirsty for the longest time and went through a whole city, every building, every room and found NOTHING! lol.

I've been in many ponds and I wasn't able to drink the water. :/ The only thing that seems to be killing me is lack of food and water. I find cans of food but nothing to open it with. Very annoying. Plus your thirst / hunger comes back WAY too fast right now!

Well it was still swinging to the right and not hitting anything but when you press space to "raise" the wep or whatever then it hit where the crosshair was. I guess that is all it was... It is just different from the flashlight. You have to raise it like a gun to point it forward but with a melee weapon, for it not to swing to the right, you technically have to "unraise" it.. If that makes sense...... The short version... press space bar

Went up to a wall with a splitting axe and yes it hit to the right of the crosshair. wide right. super weird.

I noticed it swinging to the right as well. When I positioned the axe and the zombie to the right of my screen the same thing happened. I waspushing against the zombie and couldn't walk any further and I was still missing.

I tried to swing an axe at a zombie. The animation happened but it didn't even hit the zombie. There was no sound of it hitting the zombie. It just swung at air. Multiple zombies and multiple people. I swung the axe running to the left and right and it eventually did hit the zombie though. Not before he hit me 200 times.

Artifacts are pretty bad. My city of choice is Berezino and I always get artifacts there but since the patch it takes up my whole screen. Looks like ugly abstract art.
