So the game is too hard for you so you want Rocket to make it easier on you, or you will quit? You're basically complaining about some of the main features of DayZ (survival, sneaking, avoiding zombies), this is probably not the game for you.

What apocalypse? Whose realism? It's not like there is some background story being violated here apart from yours. Your ideas do have some merit, but your argument around "realism" is flawed since it is based on your own view which quite obviously is not in line with others.

I think you and those who think like you do should go and make your own mod and go play that. In this mod there are sniper rifles and silenced assault rifles. Don't like it, then kindly leave. -

To those of you that say that it is fix, please go to either: + Balota airfield + Northwest airfield or + Military base in Stary Sobor I've reproduced the bug in all these places and GRAPHIC GLITCH IS STILL THERE regardless if I: + Switch HDR to normal + Switch Vsync on or off + Change video memory (any setting) + Turn shadows on or off + In config file, increase or decrease details + In config file, set shadow detail to 0 To fix it I have to: First) Install 1.7.2.3 Then) Avoid any/all locations with barbed wire (because even on 1.7.2.3 the bug is there) Solution: Fix the dead spawn zombies model Fix the barbed wire model -

Understandable, which is why some of the features which are deemed as suitable could be re-made from scratch.

Well, if we strip away the parts that do not contribute to the survival/danger aspects, at least some features of ACE could be applicable to the game, but it probably should be implemented without cooperation with the original ACE-team so it can be more adapted to the setting of DayZ.

Think about it, corpses, rotting flesh all around, zombies clawing at your flesh. Yes you can bandage it, but can you stop serious infections? Similarly, being out in the cold all day and night and drinking putrid water, should make your stomach crawl. This creates a need for antidotes and medicines, and it creates contagion. It would be really cool if we could (for example) use a contagion as a weapon - such as drinking from a water bottle (while diseased) and then putting it... for example on the store floor, someone haplessly walking by, grabbing the bottle and drinking the water would then too get infected... and other morbid ideas (such as, after an axe has chopped a zombie, the axe become infected - and should you kill another player their body will awaken as an AI-controlled zombie at that location).

I mean when they die. Having player skinned zombies walking around will add even further scares and increase paranoia (double checks).

Good, good. I'd rather have some kind of timeout for combat loggers now but wait some more days for the patch.

The weapon changes are pretty stupid, if anything they should do MORE damage, not less. Yes, yes - it's BIS fault, but it still affects DayZ all the same. ps. They HAVE to have changed the AKM too, because all of a sudden zombies take 2 bullets to the body (1 to the head).

Rocket, have a cold one with some friends at the beach and give updating DayZ a rest for a bit.

Here is a list of things that I would consider grievances, or things that in some manner or other bug me, and a suggestion on how to solve it: 1. Inconsistent (very unrealistic) damage, examples: - three shots close range from a makarov only lost me 1500 blood and I could bandage it easily. - crawling up some stairs made me bleed (because I was rotating) - walking over a stone/fence should not make you break your leg - I took a shotgun round at closerange and lived, bandage made me stop at around 5000 blood - I had to chop an opponent several times to get him to stop shooting (he died) (he fired three shots with his makarov while I was chopping him) Fixes: - There should be immediate trauma if you get shot, even if you perhaps do not die getting shot should make you unable to act for some time - You should not be able to heal gunshot wounds without some kind of surgery/stitching/removal of bullets (FMJ ammo and high powered rifles exempt) - You should not take damage at all crawling up stairs, perhaps if you are "speeding" up them - You should not take damage at all walking over a stone or a fence, perhaps if you are running across them - Albeit I am not a weapons expert, but surely no one survives a shotgun at close range - or at most they should not be conscious while doing so (see first fix suggestion) - Again, getting hit full force with an axe should cause severe trauma, you shouldn't be able to keep moving and firing your weapon - srsly - have you seen an axe? 2. Not enough survival features (and please make it more realistic) - There is an ocean and there are lakes in Chernarus, yet we cannot fish them. - Matches and firewood do not necessarily make fire, and definitely not in rain - Most cans of food contain a lot of water, yet fluids are not replenished - If one leg is broken, we should still be able to walk (albeit slowly) at least with a splint - I cannot drink in lakes!?!? - Matches are not the only way to make a fire, killing animals is not only doable with a gun or an axe - Rain can kill you, not enough effects from rain - Big bulky men running across terrain don't leave any traces in this game!?!? - 42 degrees Celsius is severe fever (you could die from it) - Sprinting in the forest SHOULD make you fall and hurt yourself Fixes: - Make a fishing rod, and make us able to fish - Starting a fire takes a lot of time, especially for someone without practice, starting a fire in the rain is next to impossible. Add timers to reflect this - Cans of food should replace fluids, and the hunger/thirst-system is working way too fast, also; water should help more with thirst than sodapop. - Wood + bandages should work as a makeshift splint, and you should at least be able to walk with one broken leg, if both legs are broken tho... :S - Seriously, this is just annoying. Make us able to drink lake water. Possibly add water purifier tablets to the game that work in conjunction with the water bottle and make drinking water from a lake possibly give you a disease. - Binoculars and sights should be makeshift fire-makers, traps should be possible to make with string and a knife - Wet clothing seriously drops your body temperature... - Some form of tracking system should be in the game, also it should be possible to make it harder to track if you use certain apparel, walking speeds - 37 degrees is the optimal body temperature, around 40 degrees you begin to slip in a coma, 42 degrees should be death - make things reflect this - Small stumps, roots, uneven terrain, holes etc. should make it very difficult to SPRINT through forests, add more risk to stumble and hurt yourself if you sprint through certain terrain, this would also make zombies more powerful

This is suggestions... I am not a mind reader, nor is there a list of all the things that rocket have thought about to check off. The leg breaking mechanic is not inherent to ARMA, it is something created by the mod.
