Use the tent to give it to him. Place down your tent and place the Ghillie suit inside. Once he takes it pack up your tent and be on your way. After of course you find a new Ghillie suit.

hold shift and hold - on the num pad. let go of both at the same time and type flush. Sometimes this works, and other times it does not. You can also mess with your video settings by disabling and enabling vsync. For me none of this helps, and often times I have to close my game entirely to be able to play it. With the next patch however a lot of the artifacting should be fixed.

Thanks everyone for your votes. Here's another bump.

Too much complaining about 3rd person view
Partywaffle replied to UberFAKnNooB's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Servers have the option to have 3rd person enabled or disabled, but the server admin would have to restart the server to change this option. -
After breaking your legs the respawn button is supposed to work. However it does not at the moment, and with the next patch it will. Run into a building prone, and close the door on yourself. You'll break bones, and almost kill yourself. Then hit esc>respawn.

Rocket and everyone else in the game knows of the hacker problem in Day-Z. Not much is being said though about what is being done, but it has been noted that there are steps being taken. They're looking at server logs, and ban the hackers CD key.

I support this. Every time I hear a church bell ring I freak out, and think that zombies are going to aggro towards the church. Would be nice for it to actually happen.

Why buy the milk when you can get the whole cow for free? Cow's blood will quench my cookie induced thirst.

225km is an extreme. Zombies spawn up to 300m away from your location. You can see even further with a lot of weapons. If you're limited to 40m chatting distance then you're on edge and have your finger on the trigger when you're aware of another players presence. 40m is not enough personal space to feel safe and/or comfortable in.

You can create a new profile name, because your character is stuck on your CD key. You'll keep all your items and your player location, but your name will change.

if you throw a flare in a far direction away zeds will slowly migrate over towards it. It works better with smoke grenades imo. The only way to make fires is with matches and wood. A small camping fire though is contained, and you can stand on it without getting hurt. There isn't any other way to make fires I don't think.

Bump for great justice. I used a crowbar after dieing for the first time in a week. After having to turn around and use it to defend myself I died for the second time this week.
-
True. I was thinking about that, and was also thinking of there being a way to turn off side chat. I am guessing when radios come in that you'll be able to switch them off, or to a frequency that no one is using. Thanks for your response.
-
I agree on the voice side chat. It can get fairly annoying. I also like your point on the new players questions. Our forums are being constantly barraged with the same questions constantly. As I said radios are a cool idea, but this topic is just about bringing side chat back. Why do you not support bringing side chat back then? Edit: Also is your picture related to Dwarf Fortress? I love that game!

Player's body becomes zombie and runs away with all his gear?
Partywaffle replied to polar (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
It would make no sense if you were killed by a bandit or survivor and turned into a zombie. If you received an infection from a zombie bite/scratch, and died before you cured it with antibiotics (by a player) then it would make sense. However it would also be dumb to become a zombie if you were shot in the head. I feel that if it was death by zombie it would be more plausible, but the zombie bugs/glitches should be fixed first. Also the player shouldn't be punished so harshly for dieing from a zombie, and the zombie should just hold the gear, look like your player, stay in the same area, and not despawn. If there are no players in the area that you were at when you died the zombies will shortly despawn. -
Looks like it's time for a bump! Thanks everyone for the votes.

DayZ - Nature in Full Effect for the Standalone Game
Partywaffle replied to TheReesesMan's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think it'd be a cool idea, but it would have to be very rare. I don't think it would ever be done though. Rocket stated in his interview with FPSguru that he did not like the idea of natural disasters. He wants destruction, and events, to come from the players themselves. -
PvP and PvE servers (with a twist)
Partywaffle replied to Hutch (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I do not support PVE servers. The game is build around PVP. If new players don't want to get killed they should go to a low populated server, and learn to play there. That's what I did, and I don't regret not dieing from snipers camping spawn points. -
To hell with primary weapons says the medic
Partywaffle replied to Tsyn's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I support this. Neither me nor any of my headstrong friends would use the bag instead of a primary, but it is a cool idea none the less. -
Hello DE7, this is your favourite sniper

Too much complaining about 3rd person view
Partywaffle replied to UberFAKnNooB's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
No. There are plenty of hardcore and non third person servers. I always use third person, and it doesn't put me at an advantage against players. -
You can also lose zombies by running into buildings, and hiding there. Also by running through buildings so they slow down and break LOS. Forest works same as bushes, and sometimes houses. I agree though that the zombies are too fast. Impossible to hit if they've been aggro'd.

Make killing an option... allow us to knock out fellow survivors :)
Partywaffle replied to jippyuk's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I like this idea and all the small suggestions within it. Instead of shooting a person on sight, or trying to reason with him/her to be friendly, I would much rather stun or knock them out, and then run away from them asap. -
I like the fact that it would make higher risk = higher reward. However NVGs and other rare items drop at such a low % it would make searching for them almost not worth the effort. Also if only the high populated servers had the good gear, then there would be bandits everywhere taking advantage of the newbies, and camping the barracks and other sweet spots.

I am having this issue with a lot of servers as well.
