Hi, I keep getting a strange popup when playing. It doesn't happen right away or all the time but it does come up on a regular basis: Confirmation of Changes Cannot load matrial file dz\charaters\h eadgear\data\militayberet.rvmat. CONTINUE I hit continue and it does so there is no issue there and I aviod militayberets. Is there anyway to fix this?

With the number of high grade weapon spawns having been dialed back along with an even greater choke hold on the extra attributes (scopes,bipods,silencers) the ones that are still out there as artifacts of the days of plenty are going to become ever more scarce as the KoS snipers are killed by other players, glitches and accidental charactor resets. Personally I look forward to it all. It keeps the game more mobile and makes you put in more hours if you want good kit. Add to this upcoming measures to stop server hopping and combat jumping and I feel the game is about to get alot better in the time ahead. I really think I should have a chance to at least avoid a killer by dodging fire or running away instead of being picked off from 800 meters by some guy with a scope as I drink some water at a pump. I would feel different if he snuk up behind me and gave me an axe in the back... not happier perse` just a little less powerless.

I've only ever shot one person and they ran around the corner and logged out. Don't think they died. Hope not

First time I have heard of this but I agree totally. If you see the hoops you need to go through to start a server then you should indeed make a note and report it. The DayZ team is very strict about this sort of thing I am sure.

Yeah I have been resisting going over to Chrome because Google already has too much of a grasp on my life. Quite facebook as well, same reason. I object most to finding chrome piggy backed onto my computer every time I fail to notice the little checked box on an update for something like Adobe.

Dricht1 I'm having the same trouble with the "Quote" not working. Your tally would sound very much like what I am finding with only slight variations but it comes down to about the same thing i.e. it's out there but you will need to work to find it and should cherish it once you have it! Komadose Dodging bullits is to say if you are at any kind of a distance, like across the street, you can jink and zig zag away from a guy with a pistol until out of range. A person with a mosin can keep shooting at you for a much longer period much more effectively that a man with a pistol.

Yes the guns are still out there but less long weapons. A week ago I could find 5 M4's at NWAF on a single server if it was still virgin. Now you MIGHT find one on the same server. On the other hand there are pistols in abundence especially the .357. Nice thing about the .357 is you do not need to scrounge for a clips, the bullits go right in. The down side is it is just 6 shots and a slower reload unless you happen to find a speedloader. I don't mind pistols. They're good protection but you have less chance of being hit from a distance if someone it trying to attack you. The attachmets... you have that nailed IMO. A mosin or M4 without a scope is a much shorter range weapon

Deathlove LOL Shoots 3000 rounds a minute and you only have 17 rounds. Make it use the 7.62 mosin ammo and you need to collect it in packs of 20 or less. Take 3 weeks to fill 15 ammo boxes and shoot it all up in a minute. most likely you would be killed before you collected enough munitions to shoot the thing. And each of your mates can carry 5 ammo boxes if they take nothing else.

I may be wrong but i have the impression that the amount of loot and where it spawns has bee significantly altered. Checking out the NW airfield the double entrance tents that always hold such a conucopia of loot were all empty. Only the sandbag towers covered with camo netting held any bounty. Zeds all around so I am pretty sure nobody else had been in there at that point. Likewise the hangers which before usually held 2-3 items per hanger now had loot only in every other hanger. Only one of the 8 hangers had more than one item. That said, the barracks fire station and control tower were fully stocked. Am I wrong or have the Zeds gained a bit of stealth? Used to be the second they went agro they released a loud "gronk" and you would know they were on their way. This evening I had at least 3 come up behind me with me hearing nothing more than the plod of their footsteps. Could it just be me or are the axes chopping a bit more accuratelly now? I wonder if the rabbits still growl?

I think they should divide the spawn allocation of the M$ between the SKS and the M4. Same amount of rifles, but now two different kinds. Couple that with now having to find more separate parts to fix them with and they become rarer.

DeathTAX, You are of course absolutely right... but people who do that are generally not married. WE married people get the responce "what are you doing on the f***ing computer in the middle of the night??? Get back to bed or sleep on the couch!" The couch ain't so bad... íts right next to the TV! :lol:
