Seems like your shooting yourself in the foot by using tents, like hackers do when they make themselves invisible, etc. Your taking the challenge away from yourself and reducing the number of goals you can achieve. When you spawn, your supposed to by NEW to the land (well, thats my assumption). Should you really have a camp? I'll never do that. I consider myself new to the situation, with the exception of knowing about bandits. Like maybe my family was killed by bandits... I agree that it is too easy and once you've got your favorite weapons and your in the wilderness, its like "what now?" I think that for the long haul, DayZ will need to make harder difficultly levels and continue adding in interesting things, like zombie behavior, maps, gameplay tweaks/additions, changes, and hopefully little bits of spice, like ominous sounds in the distance or weird things seen in the distance, notes left behind, etc to keep the mystery alive, and appropriate and hopefully objectives or other interesting things to do.

I think what might be happening rather than "misinformation", its players using different versions. I initially downloaded a patch i thought was the 1.7.5 patch through the 6 updater/server program, then went in 5883 servers thinking that i was up to date( not knowing what a beta patch was) and i could play just fine, but i never saw any bandit skins obviously because i hadn't yet downloaded 1.7.5. Yet it played just fine. People may still be using the 1.7.4. or 3 thinking they are up to date. I guess beta patches are from the Arma 2 devs? I still don't even know.

The hacks that don't effect other players are legitimate fun. Give them there own servers so they do it there. They are young and its all new to them and they can't imagine how its not fun for others.

Anyone know of a way to get the physical addresses of hackers or creators of ***s so we can make a public list? Edit: Not the ones bringing in a weapon or whatever. The ones nuking whole servers, effecting many people greatly for a tiny bit of fun. The sociopaths.... the next Aurora killers, wife beaters, bosses that makes slaves out of employees, etc... The words "counter hack" come to mind. Can anyone do this? If so just make the software, post it and we'll do the rest, there are enough people playing such that someone will probably be near their residence.

Your a fucking cheater, otherwise how would you know. but, THERE ARE NOT MORE HACKERS THAN PLAYERS! Thats a very disrespectful comment to the suffering the normal players who are constantly getting killed by hackers have to face. Most gunshots i hear are civ weapons.

On the other hand, most people eventually stop abusing their powers when they get older. It is because they start to imagine what it is like to be the other person or animal. Some people don't do this to begin with because they have parents who don't yell "stop that now!" and instead calmly explain what the consequences of their actions are. There is no harm in complaining about it on the forums and it might educate hackers on what happens on the other end of the internet line. Ignorance is the root of all evil.

Soldiers in Afghanistan didn't have sniper rifles to begin with. They are very rare for that deployment. I watched many video of guys on long range patrols with not one sniper rifle..... Thats in lands bigger than Chernerous. Snipers should go. As it is people can't explore one of the coolest parts of the entire map because of snipers, which is the Cherno industrial area. Can't climb buildings, can't look out from on top of them, which would be cool. They can't hide from snipers in the grass due to render limitations and can't even be sure the tree their hiding behind is safe due to rendering smaller versions of the tree at long distances. Like in Battlefield 3, people don't know what their missing by having laser sticks in it. People could take up positions on high buildings {which would be stupid now} , which would be cool, but you can't. Sniping is a selfish act btw, I saw a sniper up above Electro two days ago in guillie suit snipe over 12 people in the span of less than a half hour while i made my way over to him with my AKM. 12 kills? Do they get much satisfaction from each one? vs. the annoyance of ALL those people having to start over. Don't think for a second people should be expected to sit there and wait for a pixel to move to try and spot snipers, ........who wouldn't be there in the first place. Immersion and believability? MY ASS............... Theres a fucking reason no one has a made a game where the object is to dodge sniper rounds. It aint fun. In the best games we like, everything or almost everything you do is fun or interesting.

How the F is it crafty? They spawn a weapon, aim in at another player, then with the click of a mouse, end the other persons fun and make them spend a bunch of time to get back on track with their friends.AND DO YOU FUCKING HACKERS GET ENDORPHINS FLOWING FROM IT?
