No. What you have chosen to do, is to make your hobby the pulling of table cloths out from table without upsetting the whatever is lying on top of the table. Except you also play chess and since you are around rows of tables with people playing chess, you have decided to pull the table clothes out from underneath everyone playing chess (like-minded people btw...your fellow gamers). Every now again of course you overturn the chess boards of people playing or cause a few pieces to get out of place, thus ruining the game and wasting peoples time and effort. OUT OF THE MILLIONS OF FASCINATING THINGS TO DO OR LEARN ON THIS EARTH, you have chosen to fuck up peoples games, there time, there endorphin flow....just a little bit. We are hitting asteroids with missiles and going to mars and there are millions of amazing things to learn about and make hobbies out of, but you have chosen to fuck with peoples game and time, a little bit. Every sniper rifle you give out, that is used to kill, fucks the game up for the person that was killed. It would be different if you gave it out to everyone. What you do doesn't bother me that much though really, except sniper rifles DO change fps games pretty significantly, and in a negative direction imo, so the more of them the worse the game imo.

Do it on your own servers, sure. Just make them private and don't let anyone else in that doesn't know about it. Why? Because every edge you give to yourself and your friends/associates, etc, means that your robbing the thrill of the kill, the success and the endorphin flow from other people who don't want to partake and giving it to yourself or the people you gave the nice weapons to.

Helping people should involve you explaining how to mentally get into the game more so they can feel real feelings of joy, excitement, fear, etc. Its all taking place in your mind after all and you can hone your immersion to very high levels if you work on it. When you give yourself or others an edge via a nice weapon,etc, you must realize that you are literally robbing the feeling of success and all the endorphins that go along with that from another person and giving to yourself.

On top of all that, snipers use Zombie's spawning to locate players. That.............is...............fucked................up. They can actually use triangulation of spawning zombies, to pinpoint player location!!!! Slow people........time to look up the word triangulation.

Take them out completely. If not, take out the super-zoom-in, add realistic recoil and DO NOT help the gun return back to its original position. Then make the hit-boxes smaller, if they are not life-size now. The gun's in Arma 2 are designed for players to shoot hordes of A.I. The is a reason they have no made a game yet where the sole content of the game is dodging snipers, CAUSE IT AINT FUN! Its not fun to be blinked out of existence the moment you stop by a non-moving player, playing a turret with a laser stick. Could I run everywhere i go? Sure.... Could I stop and watch out for a pixel to move in a way it shouldn't? Sure....... It also prohibits people from taking up high positions in Cherno, and going there in general, one of the coolest places on the map. And for all the negatives sniping causes, what do snipers get out of each kill? I saw a sniper kill 12 people as i was trying to get around behind him, it took a half hour. What is the value [fun] of each kill for the sniper? Vs. the annoyance of dying by a laser stick?

I've been using my Alt button a lot for looking around while moving in one direction. The Rift HMD would be really, really nice to play the game with i would guess. Hopefully more and more people will come to know that the 3D quality of games is much different than the 3D quality experienced [currently] in movies. I don't think many people are even aware that in a game, the game world basically is laid out in front of you since your monitor is so close and its like having a window to a holodeck. One think i really like about 3D especially is the dimensionality added to each object. The buildings in Chernogorsk would look just utterly huge and far up and looking out from them would give a huge, natural feeling of being high up.

I think they should do it for now at least. IF, that is, they add in a way to get rid of the guy. I'd implement global, permanent bans for server nuking, via voting, that would be checked by an authority.

Fair? Its a game and your new to it. When you die, your supposed to vow to not make the same mistake next time and get better. The only valid excuse to use cheats is to keep yourself from getting hacked to death. All others are the result of flawed logic and ignorance. Your playing an immersive computer game using incredible new technology called a computor, HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR IT. Your also shooting yourself in the foot [while your shooting other peoples feet btw] playing that way. To be immersed in the game world you need to *commit* yourself to the experience and the rules of the world, mentally. You pretend like your there. You try and make the same decisions you'd make in real life. Would you run into a town full of zombies or into a town you heard automatic gun-fire in, in real life? FUCK NO! You will in the game, but if your not slowing down to a crawl and feeling fear, your not immersed. Your entire experience on this planet takes place in your head. Your not even seeing, your eyes are telling you what your seeing. You CAN trick your mind into believing your there, enough for an awesome experience. The long loading screens are just a blessing in disguise. The hackers and snipers just fuck it all up though. When you give yourself god mode, you turn the game into space invaders................

This would be great. 3D support in general would be extremely welcome for this 3D user as well.

For immersion's sake, would be a good idea to put up boards and planks on door and windows of non-enterable buildings. Maybe not all, not high windows maybe, etc.

I think the gaming industry needs to go even further and create separate games and forums for adults and kids. The child/kid/teenager/young adult mentality is totally legitimate, but adults grown out of it and frankly, we can't fucking stand it. Adults, well most adults, learn empathy for others, learn how tough life is for many people, learn that making a jerk reply is a lost oppurtunity to educate, etc, etc, etc. Thus no bullshit. On the game side, adults have experienced the real world long enough, that unrealistic behavior by NPC's, or unrealistic physics in airplanes, etcs, is like a bright red blinking light that says, IMMERSION BROKEN!

I kind of have no problem with this and don't really mind *a few* people doing this. Although sniper rifles are a different thing, people have to realize that when they use hacked sniper rifles and even just sniping in general using normal legitimate sniper rifles, your greatly changing the gameplay to a type that is not fun for many other people. There is a reason they don't make games were the main content is dodging sniper bullets. Its just not fun to stop, then get blinked out of existence....and its only one of many kills for the sniper.
