I always thought the eating and carving meat from wild animals made the mod a "survival" game. The animals being predator/prey will push it further away from Arma and from every other FPS ever released, especially if animals and Zs can engage each other. The "infected" narrative works a bit better when the Z can also survive on water and meat, further infecting the food and water supplies each time they interact with them. -
Lets make it a little easier for the Devs

The number one thing people want fixed, according to the poll, isn't even a problem with the code. It's a problem with player behavior. I wouldn't expect this to even be on radar until well past suicide ladders, server hardening and zombie pathing. -

i watched the video, and see nothing but improvements over DayZ mod. you can't expect video demos to give you exactly what you want, a lot of times they want to demo the assets and mechanics they've been working on most recently. -

server is dope! cool new buildings makes spawning fresh less tedious -
yes they spawn in nearly every building, even the tiny ass shacks, which is terribly annoying. you just have to get their attention, run them out, go back in and hatchet.

it's easy to go into the unsolicited suggestion zone, and I'm totally going there. :P the infected are human, not un-dead. they are low on energy, obviously, from being infected. newly infected can run, but they tire and end up walking/crawling most of the time. they should also scavenge items (empty cans generated from Z consumption), eat, drink, and team up with dozens of other infected, fight & kill each other, and swarm in numbers of 10-50 onto a target. I don't see why they shouldn't arm themselves either. I'd love to have them endlessly swarm you at a walking pace. Even after breaking LOS, they just walk towards you in a swarm of 100+, through the woods, etc, walking for hours until their attention is diverted by another player or goal (eat, drink, etc.) -
Couldn't find this one in search, playing 1.7.7 today and i climbed into a deer stand in Balota medical tent area. in the past a Z would climb up to attack (usually military Z). I had an entire horde on my ass running through the tents, not one would climb into the deer stand. FWIW edit: also Z did not attack me on the climb up although it was close enough

want to also +1 crafting defensive items only theme, tents, traps, etc. The PvP aspect of survival would be much much more enjoyable if we were able to lure/trap, vs. run & gun. I would much rather trap & hog tie you while I loot you than gun you down, waste ammo and lose humanity. Non-lethal traps that simply alert you or alert nearby Zs: foghorn/car alarm/firecrackers/flare gun/exploding gas cans (ok that one is more offense i admit). On the theme on combining food, what do others thing of picking plants/herbs, crafting remedies for shock/infection? Thick grass/leaves as makeshift bandages. Eating plants to give a small blood & water boost. just a humble suggestion. thanks.

Somehow, my hatchet is showing 0 ammo and won't swing/reload. I Add to Toolbelt & re-equip. now I can reload. But as soon as I take one swing "You have been kicked from the game". On 6 servers so far. Got banned from one. haha did I pick up a hacked hatchet ?!? thanks. -
man picked me up in the mini-heli, went flying around the map at 3am, chem lights, road flares, rescues, crashes, rampages, healing, accidental assault, accidental shooting, couple of shared blood packs and a crashed heli, face down in the ground. WHAT A NIGHT!

right now every player has every possible resource available to them. if there was some currency (beans, coins, or whatever) you could sell your skills / unique inventory. right now there is so much PKing because the players themselves are worthless - the gear is the currency. Maybe this stems from the ARMA soldier just having all the skills right away. but a regular 'survivor' would not know how to maintain automatic weapons nor skin animals, fix a broken limb, fix vehicles, etc. getting paid to taxi people around, to heal them, to trade goods & services, would rock. Only the truly dedicated survivor could live completely on their own and they have to help dozens of people to be able to get to that level.
