I had a person spawn in while i was at stary sobor raiding the tents as i was picking up gear he popped up in front of me. I shit myself and started to unload in to him after 2 full mags of my ak he dropped dead and i found on his body. Anti material sniper, 1x MP5A5 1x PDW 12x Mags for the MP5A5 and PDW (they use the same ammo) Lots of food and supplys. A coyote backpack with 24 slots gps, range finder, NVG, I would of never killed him if i saw him walk in say hi and then start to grap loot but when he spawned in and i jumped a friggin mile i had no choice but to unload all over his face and think after *i bet that guy is p***ed off with me all that gear and its gone as he logged in... No i dont find this cheating as he shouldn't of logged out at a high player destined place he should of logged out just outside the area in the tree line that way he could of seen me popping in and out of tents and either asked over direct comms hey do you mind if i grab some supply's i would of kindly said sure come down here grab what you need and we will be on our way! Or if he decided to he could of just used his sniper and popped me of and had his way with my corpse, I have been on a vehicle hunt for the last few days now and i have found nothing and after my first kill the adrenaline was pumping, hands shaking, i have no found a new lust for blood. Now i dont kill to raid bodys unless they have the best weapon in the game but i do now kill take there map and replace it with mine just incase they have vehicles marked up on the map or if they have a hidden stash of goodys. so if i ever kill you make your way to your body and you can get your stuff back minus the best weapon in the game and your marked up map! i might take your beans and a soda as killing is hard work :)

If you drive outside the map its instant death as the car should blow up immediately. Some kind of death barrier untill the map gets extended. we are playing on 1/4th of the map and this makes me wounder if they can extend the maps later on! Place a death barrier on the edge of the maps unless your in a chopper and can fly out but if you log out the chopper crashes and blows up this making you die as well as you cant spawn out side the map! as soon as any vehicle touch's the ground outside the map it blows up. Kind of like a VERY VERY dense minefield!

So my friend and i joined a server called US #00 and while sighting out chrno we just got teleported to somewhere and shots fired we both hit ALT F4 like a boss! I mean i pressed it 6 times saw the shutdown screen i dont think we died but hey im going to find out in a sec..... My word to you hacker is FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! Alt F4 saved me and this should not be removed from the game because of this reason! when hackers are delt with then use remove it but untill then its a anti hacker tool!

If im in a "Fair fire fight" ei: no hackers then i will gladly die by the hands of anyone but if you start shooting chickens at me then i will ALT F4

Hey so i have built my PC and im using a HD7770 2Gb GDDR5 clock speed @1020Mhz and i started to get artifacts a few days ago. After a few google searchs later i decided to take it back to PC world and trade it in for a new one as it was still under warranty. So i have had the new GPU in today. No problems untill now!!!! sat in one of the tents at stary sobor i have got artifacts again i restarted my PC to try and fix it but i logged back in to find the artifacting was worse then before! Im unsure if this GPU is faulty or not but i thought i would post this here as im going to get another GPU tomorrow and see if that also gets artifacts. As i have had 2 GPU's brand new the first being a weekold the second only a few hours it almost rules out the GPU dying! I might try some MAJOR OC'ing on the GPU if it melts i just wont tell the numpty at PC world that i OC'd it, I will try to push the GPU to 2Mhz speed and if i can OC the 2Gb video memory as much as i can if this fixes the artifacting i will report back, Stock speed screenshot. OC'd screenshot. Nope this didnt fix the problem, I might run a stress test for an hour with these speed's i have liquid cooling also a ice fan blowing in to a hose possitioned right next to the GPU heat sink blowing the heat out the side fan. Could be interesting!

Well a 10minute stress test on my GPU looked promising, Im going to watch my FPS with this new OC GPu and see what happens. Im running 60-80 FPS already 30-40 when fraps is on recording maybe i can get 80 while recording! I dont know but the temps are in the 60's while stress testing so aslong as i can keep it cool while in game i should be good.

Hey guys so i have try'd manually updateing DayZ arma files ect... to the latest patch but when ever i use Arma 2 CO it is saying i only have version 1.62 no more number's. I cant seem to find my friends server on the sixlauncher list or dayZcommander lists im waiting to see if i can connect manually i need the ip/port number thingy's. Any idea how to update and make the game relise i have 1.62.*****?

I have searching high and low, coast to hills, village to towns, I have yet to find any vehicle! Im sure there is a group of players server hopping taking all vehicles and storing them somewhere. I would give my cooked meat, MP5A5, AK74 Kobra, Just to get a vehicle. I know running dosnt take that long but please let me find a vehicle..... I have travel'd the coast from one edge of the map to the other and nothing! not even a car that still needs repairing! My friend and I have searched the whole map for a vehicle and the only thing we have found is a crash sight where we got an anti astronaut sniper rifle but if we shot that thing we seem to get agro from every zombie in a 200Km radius! Has anyone else found a vehicle? have you come across a stash of vehicle's? how does the spawning system work? every map i find is useless.... I have resorted in shooting people in the leg while agro'd and watching them die for entertainment I keep a morphine on me to rescue them if i start to feel bad and they cry over the mic. Come one someone has got to have a map with a vehicle location stored! Im slowly turning in to a evil person on this game! if i dont find a vehicle soon i think im going to start shooting people in the leg then throwing a smoke grenade next to them for shits and giggles.

Hello i have seen somewhere that you can add to your steam shortcut this "-cpuCpunt=4" What does this do?

Sgt asshat, How did you get that picture? i would like to check to see if my DayZ is using all 4core's? I used task manager and set affinity for arma2 and it says all processors then below that cpu0 cpu1 cpu2 cpu3 but i cant find anything that looks like your picture.

I just want to see what my system can manage! its a new build and i really want to give it a push... No a shove and see what it can handle when the game is setup and tweeked to the max to squeze as much out of it as i can.

I have been using coretemp to watch my cpu while playing and it seems that it already use's all 4core's. I might try and give it a go tho. Im already running at 80FPS well thats what fraps is telling me while recording i might use msiafterburner at least i think thats what its called to meassure the actual game FPS Edit: Anyone know the link to find this info? i cant seem to find it google has failed me! Lucky for you! i have been searching for ages for a vehicle any will do even a push bike but NOOOOOOooooooo Nothing! Im sure someone server hops grabs all vehicles takes them to a hiden location and breaks them all so no one can have them!

PS: have a look at the map take a screen shot or something and you will figure out where you respawn to so you have an idea how to get back to your body.

Just go crawl by a tree lean up against it log out and in you should be knocked out and bleeding. f not then get your friend to come kill you it takes about 5minutes to run to each side of the map. Also dont server hop.when you first respawn test a few servers out find a few you like and WRITE them down on paper as fav seems to break alot. I have found 1server and the admin is awsome i have not had a problem to date. also the only time i died was to a noob with a winchester but my buddy shot him in the face rather fast. it took me about 3minutes to run back to my body and get my stuff back with the added bonus of an extra bandage :D gotta love that respawn lol. Trust me find a server you like and STOP server hoping! you server hop in to the wrong server and BAM!!!!! your dead with all your shit gone!

How do you manually update the file's? i have downloaded the files what is next? Edit: Its a self run program that update's the file's Sorry to ask a stupid qustion i had the zip file and hadnt opened it yet. Sorry. Edit,Edit: I have downloaded the latest patch 1.62.95417 but yet a server i play on is saying i need to update to 95310 number. Arnt back versions supported? as in if i have version 4 i cant play on a server running version 3

Hey since the patch last night on sixlauncher i havnt been able to play DayZ also the patch this morning i had on sixlauncher hasnt fixed the problem. I can join servers and see players in the lobby but when i click ok to join in the zombie killing fun i get stuck at the black screen with loading in the center. After 5minutes or so the loading words disappear but im stuck on the black screen. I alt tab out then click the game to bring the screen back up and it returns the loading words. I hear the zombies and i think i can hear myself crawling (last time i logged off i logged off while prone) but i just have a black screen. I have try'y updating sixlauncher i have try'd using DayZcommander and also arma 2 and they all give me the same result's. The only thing i havnt try'd is check game files verifyer thing. (as i dont know what its called i havnt done it) Is anyone else having this problem? is there any fix for this or is it just a waiting game untill they release a new patch/update to fix this problem. I bought arma 2 and arma 2 OA on steam then went to the DayZ website to install the mod thats all i have done. My system specs are, AMD Phenom II x4 BE @3.4Ghz 16Gb corsair vengance ram 8Gb in each channel. x2 Asus HD 7770 GPU. running crossfire x2 1TB Seagate HDD @ 7200rpm foxconn A9DA-S motherboard x3 50"plasma 1080p tv's @100Hz refresh rate active 3D. @250Hz Edit: I have try'd the game on each screen seperatly also across all 3 in and out of 3D also i have tested on an old CRT style monitor. I am at a loss to what is wrong with the game. the last resort is to uninstall everything and re-start steam arma dayz mod from scratch.

I have fixed the problem. I have reinstalled six launcher and dayz also verify'd both arma and arma OA this seems to have fixed the problem atleast for a few servers.

I have posted this also im stuck trying to join servers. Im stuck on the black loading screen. Edit: im now stuck on waiting for character to create screen i can type message's but nothing else is happening.

That is exactly what i have now.
