I can advice this only with a STRONG WARNING! If you have problems with your CPU temps getting high DO NOT TRY THIS You can "Unpark your core's" this boosted my FPS by 10-15FPS now running at a steady 30-45fps. If you see your cpu temps getting to hot then all you have to do is check status, park all, done. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS WARNING DO NOT USE IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CPU TEMPS, ANY DAMAGE YOU CAUSE BY NEGLECTING THIS WARNING IS YOUR OWN FAULT! Just to give you an idea of what to expect i run AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE my temps raised by around 10*C The best settings i have found are as follows, res=windowed fullscreen 3d res= 1280x720 or whatever 720p is. should be set at 100% or your monitor res to counter the bad gfx when things are set to low. everything set to low or disabled. ATOC all tree's and grass FXAA sharp filter high shadows disabled I play on these settings and i dont see much if any difference whether im playing on very high or very low. apart from a clear 20fps between the two.

I have the same error message i have arma2 arma2oa on steam try to update via dayz commander and i get the error also. The error doesn't seem to stop the game from updating and it doesn't cause any problems when joining games

As the title say's im having a problem with my FPS. No matter what server i play on freshly restarted or not i am getting 20fps that drops down to a solid 10fps after about 20 minutes of playing. I can run around on the coast, In citys, In the forest's absolutly anywhere in game at a solid 10fps regardless if im on very high settings or very low settings. My resolution is set at 1280x720 (Native for my screen) The only thing i can think of is my gfx card is not working properly or the game is using my cpu instead of my gpu. Has anyone else had this problem? Did you find a way to fix it? Please help as i cant play on any of the servers on DayZCommander be it DayZ, DayZero, Breaking point, Origins every server or mod i try this happens to me after 20 minutes..... Hey so i have been playing around with my settings on DayZ and i have found a problem for myself where no matter what settings i play on i struggle to keep 20FPS anywhere. Now i have started playing PlanetSide2 and i found a very quick and simple way to help with FPS issue's Its not for everyone and please keep in mind that you may have to revert back to your old settings fast if things start to go wrong. Also bear in mind that if you have heat troubles DO NOT DO THIS!!!!! So how do you get these magical frames you may ask. Simple unpark your cpu core's here is a link to a simple program. All you have to do is download the program read the info and follow the instructions.DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE HEAT PROBLEMS OR DONT WANT TO POTENTIALY HARM YOUR CPU!!!! I run a Phenom II x4 695 black edition DeneB OC'd @ 3.7Ghz And with my cores unlocked i have gained a good 10-15 fps on average best thing is i never drop below 20fps while streaming when not streaming im a consistant 30fps I can not stress enough that you do this at your own risk! If you cook your cpu its your own fault and you have been warned! i highly suggest if you have a laptop that you ignore this thread as cooling will be an issue for you. Also if you needd extra frames on top of unlocking your cores then there are countless threads out there that can help. This should be a last resort once everything has been exhausted and your confident that your PC can handle the extra heat.

Unlike what Boneboys said this can be reversible once you unpark your core's restart your pc then load up the program again check status and it will show you your cores unparked. Look at your temps for your cpu and monitor them CAREFULLY you should see a increase in your FPS. If you feel your temps are running a bit high or you notice something odd with your pc and wish to revert back all you have to do is check status then park all restart your PC once again and its done. @Statik There is a HUGH red warning in the original post so hopefully that doesn't happen. Like i said all you have to do is keep an eye on your cpu temps to make sure it doesn't get to hot.

My last thread i posted about unparking your cpu cores was locked and a forum mod said it is impossible to revert. It is not impossible as you have the option on the program! i have unparked and parked my cores multiple times over the last few days. Each time checking and everything seems good. If you hadnt of locked the thread i would of reply'd back. and i could of posted pictures to prove you can park your cores again. All it takes is a click of a button and a restart!

MSI afterburner sounds like a great plan thank you for that. Atleast i can now find out if anything is broken with my system. Thank you loads for that suggestion. Also Thank you for the link for helping with FPS and settings i will do that after i check MSI. Best advice i have ever had on the forums for a long time thank you loads guys.

LOL i know how you feel i try to record my game play for YouTube and to share with the world but my one and half year old is a noisy git its all good fun tho. we will miss them when they grow up.

Same i lost interest in DayZ a while ago, have been playing wasteland since, now a few new maps have come out im playing those now. The new maps coming out the way they do i hope rocket takes this in to consideration and allows custom maps on the standalone. If not then i hope he will release a new map every month or even 2 months to keep the standalone alive! i know the game is sandbox but i feel some kinda of missions would be good to give you something to do, After you get guns food vehicles ect... all you can do is kill people or become a taxi service for fresh spawns, So maybe take the missions from wasteland and use them with heli crash sites ect... so they spawn in different places each time a mission comes up giving everyone a chance to grab some decent loot.

Im not to sure on low but i wouldnt be looking at trying to get anything above 30fps the game is terrible for optimization fingers crossed the standalone will be alot better tho, Only way to find out is to download the mod and test it, if you havnt bought Arma2 then ask a friend if they can play the game on your machine (Just to be clear i said ask them to play there game on your machine dont want to be warned about game sharing) and have them test the game to see what FPS you can get.

3.4Ghz phenom II x4 965 BE HD7770 2Gb Asus version GPU @ cant remember stock speeds think its around 1100Mhz 16Gb corsair vegance RAM Foxconn AD9A-S mobo 1000W Corsair PSU I run the game at 60 FPS solid everything very high 1080p across 3screens, It does depend on the server you play on tho and how many zed's are around! lowest i get is 25 when a server needs a restart and im in a high populated town If i OC, GPU @ 2500Mhz CPU @ 4.2Ghz FSB @ 200.02-20.5 Then i never drop below 45fps anywhere! i hardly ever run those speeds tho i dont that as a test to see whats the very best i can get!

If your British then its Day-Zed, if your american then its Day-Zee, if your politically incorrect then its DurkaDurka Zee Herp, If your welsh its Day-Sheep, If your dutch then its zDay-Z, if your Japanese then it something i cant spell, I could go on and on but lets just call it that zombie mod for Arma2 thats kinda cool if you dont get hacked to death by goats.

Yes you can play the game but expect to get VERY bad fps! and watch your temps! I stress watch your temps with this game as for me its tempamental and halfway through a game session kicks my CPU in to overdrive and it starts to climb without me knowing (Now have warnings and visual aid to let me know) If you use programs like for an example "Game Booster" and shut off everything you dont need and i mean everything then you should get a slight fps gain, If you struggle to play still then go for the OC! but be warned you can end up frying your CPU and GPU if you try to OC them! (Assuming you can OC) EDIT: Also check out "how to boost DayZ" search it in google and make sure you spread your settings out as needed! I find texture quality is a must to be set high as you will see players easyer! Also turn off grass and bushes so now one can hide from you :D

De-sync, This happened to me a few days ago, i was running as a fresh spawn in the woods and then suddenly i see a bandit running on the spot in the tree line ahead of me! i decide to run down the hill away from him, Pretty sure im out of his line of sight, So i now head up the hill to see if he saw me or not, As i poke my head up over the browe of the hill i see him still stood there running on the spot... So i think ok i will just head down again, Upon walking back down the hill i just drop dead! no gun shots no blood nothing just you were killed, The server has death messages turned on so i can see who killed me and with what weapon and it turns out i was serverly de-sync'd and to the other guy running on the spot my body hadnt moved from the coast! he posted the video for me to watch and true enough my body was there on the coast stood still and the times all match up (Chat messages ect...) This i have noticed happens ALOT on private servers running namalsk and also on vilayer hives, Also i cant be certain about this but i beilve there is a hack out there that can do this also as yesterday i was turned in to a goat and then back to human but all our bodys were still stood where we got teleported to! no one could get there stuff just look in to an empty backpack, Also we all then were invincible as a few of us decided to commit suicide in a mexican stand off style for a laugh and we all unloaded multiple shoots just to find that we fall over dead without dying!!! Yes that right we were all on the floor dead but no death screen nothing! along come a few other players and nope we cant be killed, Then some dude comes along with the railgun and shoots the bodys we used to have and thats when we died! I doubt you were the "hacker" "Scriptkiddie" "Scum" whatever, Explain to the admin it was more then likely De-Sync and also to check the logs as it will all be in there as long as he knows where to look! If its a private hive then he will have access to decent logs and find out exactly where they died and if they were seperated it will show if they are grouped together then he will see and relise its just butthurt kids moaning because you pwned them! Remember if you kill anyone in DayZ your a hacker because they are always better then you at the game!

I have been looking in to that map and it does look like a really good map new skins and surroundings. i just hope they dont get the models wrong like in panthera where you have to go prone and wiggle out of the millitary base's, Not much of a problem but can start to get annoying when Zed's are on your ass.

After watching that video i am even more excited to see this map in DayZ, If i had to i would even partly fund this map myself if i needed to, I really hope someone with modding skills or rocket can take this idea and turn it in to something real.
