1. Run both ArmA 2 and OA once to complete installation. 2. Download DayZCommander from http://www.dayzcommander.com 3. Run DayZCommander and click the "install/update" button from the top menu. 4. Click "Install" next to ArmA 2 (103718). Wait for the download and install to complete. 5. Click "Install" next to DayZ. Wait for the download and install to complete. 7. Filter 'DayZ only' and 'hide wrong versions' from the dropdown box on the left and join a server, if you want to play other mods/maps you will need to install them separately via the install/update menu. I'd try that, then post back any error messages exactly as they are written (or screenshot them) -

Yeh I hope that gets adjusted in time, same with walking up hills, I don't expect to be able to run up a steep hill but it's kind of annoying when you suddenly go from running to instantly walking because the hill incline changed one degree and having to zig zag to avoid that. -

Are there drawbacks to the MMO architecture?

One solution I was thinking of for lag to central server would be to have a number of regional hives like many other MMO's do. Australasia, US, Europe etc. I'm not suggesting people should be locked to their local hive but I think it would be a good idea to have a choice. We are going to have to wait and see how much of an issue it is though tbh. -

I'm curious how they are raising your weapon now as it still looks lowered by default. I really hope it's not click mouse1 once to raise and then click a second time to fire, I find that really unintuitive for some reason. -

Sounds like they have already removed it which is disappointing (Rocket talked about it being removed in one of the E3 interviews). I would have preferred they left it in at least until alpha so that people could give feedback on it after trying it out for themselves. I thought it sounded like an absolutely terrible idea initially but then after using it really liked it quite a lot. There are also a lot of misunderstandings on how it actually worked so would have been good to have people try it first hand, for example you never had to hold down a button to aim down sights, aiming down sights works exactly as it does in the mod, holding a button was solely for hip firing basically. -
Not really, just stop using it?
