I gave 5 extra nvg's to new spawns the other day, they aren't that hard to find
-
ive been killing fresh spawns for the past 6 hours.

Why did it take so long? -
I think this should be settled with a game of knifey-spooney to be honest
-
I don't even know how to use them, I use the sun and directIon of clouds
-
Yes and dayz is like that because you are disadvantaged if you play any other way, that's about to change
-
Kill other top geared players?
-
It's not really equal when being a bandit offers every advantage and no disadvantage
-
Anyway servers are doing it as we speak regardless of whether rocket allows it or not so I'll prob just stick with them, much more enjoyable when every second game you aren't teleported to the middle of nowhere
-
Because the vast majority of servers would not password protect them regardless, why would a hacker bother registering for the server password when they can simply join one of the many other servers that don't require it with less effort.
-
You would assume if they decided to lock their server they would put a website URL in the title, otherwise their server would forever remain empty.
-
Play on US servers like most Australians do, I believe it may have something to do with having to connect to the hive, most US servers load 10x faster and there is no difference in terms of lag in-game.

Someone else just made a thread they have 3 gille suits for sale

THREE GHILLIE SUITS FOR TRADE HERE! (Safe trading, post your offers.)

I'll start it off with a can of beans -
Hacked gun
-
Really, do these threads actually serve a purpose? I doubt anyone actually follows up on them, not to mention in most cases nobody even knows who to blame, just seems like a massive waste of time bothering.
-
How do you draw that conclusion? Look harder.
-
Hacked in weapon. Nothing new.
-
What server do you play on?

Where is 1.7.2.5 and when is this standalone happening?
SmashT replied to Tingle's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Dayz standalone this year, possibly as early as september, using same base engine as arma2 arma3 uses so most of the code can simply beorted over, this patch was meant to be a hotfix for the artifacts but since some other stuff was almost finished they delayed it and will bundle them together instead, bandit/hero skins etc coming back, maybe dogs -
I would if I had a car

The way most locked servers work at the moment you simply signup and can see the password, yes a hacker could do the same thing but are they going to bother or will they simply join an unlocked one, unless they have some personal vendetta against the server/admin why would they wate their time when there are hundreds of other more servers to harrass, plenty of servers already do this and are even connected to the hive, it's really only out of respect for rocket and his rules that server admins such as the op are asking for permission, doesn't appear to be any consequences for those currently breaking the server rules regardless. Prsonally I'll play on any server that effectively manages the cheating problem we have at the moment. I cant see how loot cycling could be an issue at all when you constantly find tent cities with hundreds of the rarest loot in the game on public servers each week
-
Don't worry, Rocket is already considering it as a temporary band-aid solution until the game goes standalone. I don't really see any valid reasons why people would be against it with the amount of hacking/duping going on.
-
Plenty of locked servers already despite the rules. It doesn't stop it by any means but most hackers are simply not going to bother registering when there are hundreds of unlocked servers that are an easier target, Rocket talked briefly about relaxing the rules in the machinima livestream.
-
It sounds like it will be using the same engine that arma2 and arma3 are based on. Have a watch of the machinima live stream he did the other day. This is why it's expected to have a standalone release so soon, most of it can simply be ported over. Main difference is he will then be able to make changes to the engine as it will be separate to arma.
-
I think you will simply need to install arma using your brothers account (so the files are on your pc) and then just purchase arrowhead on your own account and use that, that's how I think it works but I would wait for others in case I am wrong
