In regards to the BE kick message. Open up battleye/scripts.txt, find 5 openMap !"\"openMap\"," and change the 5 to a 1 so that it is only a report instead of kick. That's what we did and have had no problems since. BattlEye updated with a new scripts.txt and looks for a tonne of more stuff now, the line above is the one causing the kicks for everyone however.

I'm not a fan of the L85 to be honest, the scope is the only good thing about it, not sure it's worth taking up so many slots for the thermal scope.

You were already explained in your other thread kn0x, that had nothing to do with battleye, it was a hacker that teleported you, not BE.

What dayz version are you running, if it doesn't match the server you will never get past the loading screen. I find US servers to be the quickest in terms of loading time, most likely because that is where the hive is located.

Unfortunately nothing more can really be done until the game goes standalone and they can modify the engine code to prevent scripts from being used by the client.

If you already own ArmA and OA, the dayz mod is free.

It's pretty much impossible to tell how effective BattlEye is with a mod like this, it may very well be terrible but honestly VAC and PB would be just as useless IMO since the game is designed to allow scripting. Really it can't be improved much until standalone.

Spend a couple of hours looking up north in the forest and you are bound to find a vehicle and many camps.

When joining a server you are placed into debug forest (while loading), if you abort or kill the process during this time you will respawn on the coast with all your gear. This often happens when you try joining a server on a different version, since you get stuck on loading forever, you will have to either abort or kill the process which results in you spawning on the coast the next server you successfully join. Seems to work every time for me (version 1.7.2.5), please confirm if you can reproduce this.

That sounds like a hacker pretending to be battleeye or just a coincidence that someone was banned at the same time a hacker teleported everyone, it had nothing to do with battleye.

Yes, it's a server side setting and the only way of knowing is to test it on that server. -
Found a bicycle, rode it into Cherno Church, another player was already inside with a crossbow aimed at me, as soon as I reached the doors I was shot, bleeding out on the ground he then ran up to the door and closed them, breaking my legs, it was clear he was out of ammo and while trying to leave I used my hatchet on him, he crawled out of the church and I crawled after him, <1k blood and bleeding out I managed to hatchet him again and kill him just before I died, good times.

That isn't a battleye message, it's someone pretending to be battleye.

The number one cause for this is if you abort/escape when stuck on loading, which almost always happens when you join a server on a different version to you. A temporary fix, if you know of a server that you have no problems joining is to alt tab when stuck on the loading screen, launch another game, it will ask you if you want to close the original, click no, join a server you know you have no problems joining, once you are in-game where you were supposed to spawn, alt tab to the game stuck on loading screen and close it. Once most servers and sixlauncher update to the latest version it should occur a lot less.

It is legit, most of the loading issues are caused by joining a server on an incorrect version. If you do get stuck and don't want to lose your location, alt tab open a new game click no so you will have two games open at same time, join a server you know works, once you spawn, alt tab to the one stuck on loading screen and close it -

1.7.2.5 is pre release, either use dayz commander or arma and update the files manually, using six launcher will overwrite the files with 1.7.2.4 -
So possible solutions: Remove the line matching the kick restriction # on your server. (didn't try this but assume it will also work) Change that line to report (1) instead of kick (5) This worked on my local server. Replace scripts.txt (created 30 mins ago) with scripts_old.txt or whatever it was. Our admin just tried this and it's working fine now but obviously the BE update would have a lot more detections, probably best to eliminate the lines one at a time that are causing the kicks. Anyone had any luck?
