    Rocket did actually try this in the mod (with hunger etc), it was a huge fail and universally hated so was removed. I wouldn't expect this would make a return, if it did it would have to be in a separate game-mode imo.

    The build was merely the latest development build, nothing crazy but it did have some newer things obviously.     About Wallet Usage

    I thought it would have been neat for those that paid extra for the supporters version to be able to put their details in-game on an ID-card, similar to how prison architect allowed supporters to name prisoners, rap sheet etc. I really have no idea what purpose it will serve currently.

  6. They aren't saying the experience isn't possible, what they are saying is that it's impossible for a hack to accomplish this. On the surface it may appear to people to be a hack (due to their experience with thunderdome etc in the mod) but that doesn't necessarily mean that is the case. It may very well be a bug with server/hive communication or the hive like Hicks suggested. From my perspective as a pre-alpha tester, the specific location (vybor bridge) and the testing 123 message does lend itself to Hick's theory (this was the testing location and message you received each time you connected to a server back then as the hive wasn't implemented at the time)

    Yes, providing your character wasn't killed during logout and you left the server immediately you will get your character back, they aren't wiped. However if you didn't leave immediately, and hung around on the server it would have been overwritten.
  9. Hicks is investigating, says it's not possible for hackers to do this though, believes it's an issue with server/hive comm.

    Posting to the Issue Tracker forum

    The feedback tracker uses a separate login, you will need to create an account on there. Try pressing back on your webbrowser and submitting the rregistration form again or clearing cache etc if that doesn't work, that error is usually caused by a session timeout, or accidentally submitting the form twice.

    It's working fine for me. Can you provide some additional information about what exactly happens so we can determine what the issue is . Have you registered for an account, are you getting any actual errors, what actually happens when you try to log in etc
  12. Merged. Was this on stable or experimental? I don't think those are the actual players (for the most part), just AI. Here's a video showing what tootights described though.

    What the Steam store page says (from launch) is "We estimate that reaching Beta version with all key features present will take more than one year from current stage. All features and plans listed here are subject to change, we may add or remove features as seen fit during development process."

    They told you that from the start, it's literally on the steam store page. As far as the engine goes, that's been changing from the very beginning, here's a devblog from October and another from November telling you exactly that, what has happened is these changes and more that will come throughout development have reached a point that the engine is no longer recognizable as RV, and because of that - and the massive work to come, it is now known by its own name, Enfusion. So no, they aren't starting over.

  19. Originally we planned to release the 0.45, currently on experimental branch, to stable today. However feedback from experimental identified a flaw in a newly designed system to handle player movement. This causes the server to, when faced with complex geometry, come up with a different acceptable pathing result than a client. When the server and client have differing states, the server “wins”. Therefore the place your client lets you go gets “reset” and you warp back to your position. This is very frustrating as I am sure those testing on experimental will know. We know exactly the problem that causes this, it’s not a bug in a traditional sense but a problem with the approach we used. Currently that approach is being rewritten. What we did do was merge in some changes to 0.44 that enhance security. There are some loopholes in the game that have not been utilizing our client-server architecture and we will continue to work on these to reduce the impact of hacking and exploiting in the game. As mentioned in last weeks status update, work continues in refining persistent storage and ironing out any potential issues related to protecting user storage, and preventing abuse of the system. DayZ version 0.48 was pushed to stable branch during last weeks maintenance with the goal of addressing global voice abuse, camera collision abuse, global item cleanup, and the deployment of the player storage to limited DayZ dev hosted servers. As we progress towards the August milestone goal of 0.49 at the end of the month, we will continue to iterate upon the experimental branch with bug fixes and 0.49 intended features. Additionally worth mentioning is the intended cleanup of the stable hive to coincide with persistent storage and private shards being offered globally across stable branch. It is our intent once we have addressed the core issues with abuse of item duping, as well as resolved issues with the protection of player storage and opened game server providers rental of private shards, to wipe the stable branch clean.     Well if it's the pub in Svet then I assume it was intended as there is scaffolding leading up there, probably some other buildings with a similar setup.

    Confirmation of Changes : Session lost

    Do you have a limited steam account? That seems to be a running theme with people who have this issue. No idea why it would cause that though. Have you tried contacting steam support to see if you can get your account restriction removed?
