    I don't tbh, I remember we had about 50-60 or so at one point (and that was a struggle to find that many people available at the same time for testing) and I remember Rocket talking about 150 players as an ideal number in terms of player numbers vs map density in various interviews etc.

  10. Well persistence and the central loot economy are still in active development (and persistence is currently opt-in only). I'm not familiar with the mechanics and don't have a server to test them on but I would assume loot will eventually (if not already) no longer spawn on restart and instead re-spawn dynamically as needed while the server is running and existing items will persist throughout restart so restarting for fresh loot will be a waste of time. It wouldn't be worthwhile implementing a restart cooldown if those systems eliminate the issue.

    You can try this https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4487-YUOC-6922 You can also try lowering your max connections in Steam Settings > In-Game > Max Pings/Minute (although I am not entirely if either will have an affect on DayZ)

  18. That number is actually pretty close to the number Hicks posted about for a single week back in March if you do the math. (Over 800)

    bridge spawn thingie

    It's a bug related to Server/Character initialization that's being exploited/forced by players. This re-initialization forces all players to respawn at the default spawn location (Vybor bridge).     fix the zombies already

    I'm just going to quote a couple of the developers posts as I'm lazy, hopefully it will give you some insight into the work being done and what's involved in "Fixing" zombies.
  21. Not a hack, just a bug that a player can exploit, similar to how throwing a certain item in the previous build would crash the server.

Then you either have a short history with the mod or are choosing to ignore the issues it had in addition to ESP with parachuting cows, players being turned into animals, mass teleporting entire servers to the moon or the ocean or thunderdome, spawning in tanks and jets and weapons that wern't even available, filling the entire map with thousands of aircraft carriers, buildings, flying buses, godmode/invisibility etc

    UI Resolution is off (blurry)

    Do both resolution and rendering resolutions match? One is in user interface, the other is in video settings. If that fails, follow the steps in this video, apparently there is a bug if you mess with Overall Quality setting so you need to delete the config file first.
  24. If you actually watched the PAX presentation you would know that Rocket was comparing hacking in DayZ to what we saw in the mod. In comparison the hacking we see in DayZ is nowhere near as damaging and it would be appreciated if you didn't use these straw-man arguments to make underhanded attacks on the integrity of the development team, it's adds nothing to the discussion and isn't welcome here.
