The mirrors, torrent, DayZCommander and SixLauncher are all on 1.7.3, maybe they haven't gotten around to updating the text?

First impressions - Combat range needs to be reduced or the HUD icon removed. I wasn't even aware other players were in the area but the HUD icon gave them away when using a hatchet on a zombie when I otherwise would have had no idea. 10-20m max IMO. - Zombie death animation seems a lot better. - Most of the other fixes are good, been playing on private hives for a while now so I'm used to most of them already.

Yes but they usually only save stuff on that specific server where as on the official hive you can move between any other official servers and keep the same gear.

Read the stickies. Your claim of never using hacks certainly sounds somewhat dubious, especially considering you also have VAC bans on record.

If there are hackers then people are going to combat log regardless and it's up to server admins to determine why. Not a fan of the HUD telling you that you are in combat though, especially if you wouldn't know otherwise. I'd reduce the distance to <20m and remove the HUD notification personally. A logout timer that doesn't reset every bullet could also work but instead just forces you to stand still for the 30 or so seconds. -

A group of players working together should have the advantage especially if one is keeping you pinned. Why should you be able to combat log because there are bandits outside, that's stupid. Either fight back, run or take the death. Silenced weapons have the same advantage they always did if you didn't disconnect every time you got shot at by one. -

You must be a combat logger. Personally I think the impact objects near you (50m) range is too high, I expected it to be <20m. -

Nope. The server only sees your GUID. It's a one-way hash specifically so you can't get someones CD key from it.

Well then you haven't loaded in totally have you as you are only half-way through the process... My understanding was that the game loads you into debug plains first, then moves you to your position when the loading is complete. If you disconnect while loading then the next time you join, it sees your location as debug plains and moves you back to the beach so you aren't stuck in the middle of nowhere. Either way you aren't going to be in combat so it doesn't matter. -

My understanding was this had already been sorted after Venthos brought it up the first time. Isn't that why the thread was unlocked? No need to get your knickers in a knot. -
Why aren't whitelisted private hives running this

In my experience these programs are generally a massive pain in the arse to get working correctly, most people aren't going to be bothered unless it's for a ladder/tournament where it's required and even then its usually only used when the ladder/tournament involves cash/prizes or if it's a finals match. Good luck getting random pub players to fiddle around with a third party program for 30 minutes before they can start playing.
