Have you installed DayZ yet or not? There is an install button in the top right of DayZCommander.

Here is a comparison of DayZ using free vs full version of ArmA. It's roughly 2.6 gig compared to 8.5gig for full.

No, you need both. You can use the free version of ArmA II though (it's a much smaller download but will result in lower resolution textures)

I don't know exactly, likely weeks if at all. My understanding is there is no longer an active technical or support team for the mod and the recommendation is to migrate over to private hives. With Standalone getting closer to completion the mod ticket system is being worked on less and less.

I can't work out if it's a global ban or an admin ban you are talking about as you seem to keep telling us different things. I'm leaning towards global ban since you are talking about trying to get your dad to do a credit card chargeback and you have lost the game etc. You can't be globally banned by other players cheating in-game, giving you gear etc. That simply is not how BattlEye works. Either you downloaded something that has stolen your CD key which has then been used by them to cheat or you cheated yourself. Your CD Key can't be stolen in-game either, you would have had to have given them access to your PC or downloaded malware for them to take it. Either way you will not be unbanned except in the unlikely event that it is a false positive and only BattlEye can determine that. http://www.battleye.com/support.html If it's an admin ban then simply play elsewhere for the time being, there are literally thousands of other servers available.

I'm guessing he was cheating but haven't heard of it before, similarly to how cheaters can play video/animations on your screen If Side Chat was enabled, that usually means VON is also enabled. I don't even know if it's possible to enable sidechat without VON.

They are planning to have some kind of hearing impaired mode implemented at some point (as well as colour blind support), in which case you will likely be able to get HUD icons but will lose your sound if selected.

You've got your answer, as it's a private server/hive the admins can ban for pretty much any reason, even if they aren't sure themselves what they are banning for or why something is causing an automated kick. I doubt you will ever know why as it's clear the admins don't know themselves. Time to move on, plenty of other servers out there.

You can store backpacks in tents, not sure why you are having an issue getting it back out, maybe lag? Pretty sure if you have any weapons in those backpacks left in the tents they will be deleted at the next restart and left with empty backpacks. That was the case anyway, not sure if it has changed.
