Try running Operation Arrowhead as admin. (Right click > run as admin)
-
Aside from running Operation Arrowhead as admin to make sure you are using the CD Key on your account, here are the possibilities. A ) It's a false positive, only way to determine that is the contact BattlEye. If that's the case they will unban you (hasn't been one for months however). http://www.battleye..../support.html B ) Steam sold you a banned CD Key (unlikely) Contact Steam. C ) You downloaded something that stole your CD key/replaced it with a banned one and/or sent it to someone who used it to cheat. D ) You cheated yourself.

BAN From all Servers Global Ban #338693)
SmashT replied to THEGODFATHER253's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Contact BattlEye. http://www.battleye.com/support.html You can't be banned for picking up/using scripted in weapons. -
Where did you buy the game?

Be careful with Battleeye - They're horrible support.

Maybe they didn't know at the time and just saw multiple appeals from people sharing a banned key. Only reason I know is because I kept seeing appeals for the exact same GUID (#a796c9 to be precise) that mentioned they had just purchased the game from GOG and were banned immediately. Seems to usually occur when people don't run GOG's provided CD Key changer as admin or maybe their changer is just buggy and doesn't work sometimes. -

It's using steam and VAC. Accounts will be tied to your steam account so as long as you don't lose access to that then you won't be able to lose your account. Steam have some pretty decent security measures in place to prevent steam accounts being stolen, including steam guard which when enabled requires anyone accessing your account from a different PC to authenticate it using a code sent to your email, even if they know your steam password they still won't be able to access it unless they also have access to your email. -

I'm doubtful you will have much luck getting a new key, regardless of the IP's used (That's if BE even collects that data), again, the CD Key has been banned for causing the violation, it doesn't matter if it was you using your CD Key to cheat, a sibling, a friend, someone from the other side of the world. It's the account that was used. Consider this, if BIS start handing out new keys because the account banned was being used by a different IP at the time, every cheater will start using VPN's to cheat. Still worth a try I guess but I wouldn't be too hopeful. With standalone using steam, at least CD Key theft will be eliminated, someone will have to steal the actual steam account rather then just gaining access to your registry and that's pretty hard with the security measures steam has in place. -

@iegle GOG for some reason sell the same copy of OA to everyone, including the same banned CD Key. They then send you your own separate unique CD key along with a CD Key changer to update the generic banned key to the one you purchased. That isn't really an issue with BattlEye, it's an issue with GOG. Look at it from BattlEye's perspective, if you (and others) are appealing a valid banned CD key then they aren't going to lift it. You hadn't updated your CD key to the one you were sold and were instead using the generic banned one GOG give to every person that buys the game before they change it. It really has nothing to do with DayZCommander. -

Actually it doesn't require them to use your steam, anyone who has had access to your PC/CD Key can use your account, including through malware. They don't give out specific information about what triggered a ban as hackers would love to have access to that information, what specific cheats have been detected etc. -

SmashT replied to Xellial's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
If the ban is backed by clear evidence then there is nothing they can do, you are ultimately responsible for your own account, if you let someone "steal" your CD key and use it to cheat then nothing can be done. To be clear they are not saying that you personally are banned, but rather the CD key used to cheat has been and that will not be lifted. -
That place is haunted.

-mod=@dayz Is not a correct path
SmashT replied to AquaMonkey (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Got a screenshot? If you're using DayZCommander and your paths are correct you shouldn't need to put anything in the target box. That's usually if you installed DayZ manually and are launching it via Operation Arrowhead instead. -
What was your motive to come to DayZ?
SmashT replied to The Aquatic Land Walrus's topic in New Player Discussion
Had a few clanmates talking about it but I wasn't convinced until someone linked me "Driving miss DayZ" on youtube. -

You can set the paths manually under settings in DayZCommander. Mine for example: ArmA 2 Directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\ArmA 2 ArmA 2 OA Directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead DayZ Directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\@DayZ -
Your gear only persists across servers connecting to the same hive (database) All "official" servers for example connect to one official hive so your gear/location etc will persist. Majority of private servers only connect to their own single hive but there are some which share. I believe many Vilayer and HFB servers share a single private hive for example.

A more helpful way to get people unbanned?
SmashT replied to Welch (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I have better things to do then constantly join random servers on behalf of people who have been banned asking why, if you are up for it though, go for it. -
It's been broken for ages (months now) Pretty sure it was brought up a while back but probably isn't a priority.
-
The menu is injected by a hacker, just like monkey monitor etc. Pretty sure the server needs to be restarted to remove it. You can't be banned by BattlEye for it unless you are the one that injected it but I wouldn't be surprised if you got admin banned for using it to teleport/spawn things etc regardless.

The hero skin has a new shirt, jeans, hat, scarf, vest, shin-pads etc while the bandit skin looks exactly like the civilian skin with a scarf covering the head/face to me?
-
The hero skin looks awesome already though? I'm pretty surprised people think the bandit skin looks better, it's the worst looking skin in the game currently IMO. The old bandit skin looked way cooler
-
The current bandit skin looks terrible :/

Does anyone else think this is odd?
SmashT replied to timboski's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Maybe he is just waiting for standalone?
