It's not just the hackers and cheaters! It's just how hostile everyone seems to be to each other. Not just in game, but on the forums too. I am yet to read a thread where people aren't talking shit :/

Tbh, low graphics arent even bad. Just make sure you have 3d resolution set to the same as your screen resolution, then youre sorted. -

At small villages you can get decent things. Last small village I entered I got 2 canteens, some ammo for my revolver, binos, food and drink. You might as well check out the small villages, usually there are no players about. Unfortunately my naivety got me killed before though! I was nearly dying because of food so I had to sprint around a village looking for some, couldnt find any, headed towards a barn and boom. :P -

It's awesome! What you gonna do about it! ;D I didn't find Deus Ex anywhere near as frustrating as STALKER. I just got past the first bridge before giving up. To be fair, I think it was probably the first hardcore game I'd played. I was used to Battlefield and Left4Dead etc. -
Raising Gamma/Brightness an Exploit?

You might as well do it. When I raise my gamma and brightness, it seems more like an authentic night. I still can hardly see my gun in front of me. I dont think they could ever stop people doing this. Disabling these sliders would be bad. -

STALKER is the most annoying game I ever played! Yes, the damage is realistic. But the AI, the radiation must have made everyone extrasensory perception. It's sort of impossible to sneak as the enemies will find you and attack you. Might redownload it and see if I can do any better now :P Btw, although not realistic, Fallout series is one of the best ever! You should play fallout 3! -
Hi, as the title says, I am looking for a not too serious team situated in UK. Using a mic MIGHT be an issue as due to this fail 4 year old laptop I have to use an unconventional way of cooling it (HUGE tower fan underneath), I'm not sure much the mic picks up the fan.

I'm pretty sure if someone says something like "it still haunts me at night", they are just saying it to add dramatic effect to the story or joking around? Surely no one can get THAT immersed in a game? -
Omg, getting put in an arena to fight to the death?! Ban it! It's not like that's exactly what CoD multiplayer is. Hell, let me direct you to the Shadows of Rome game. Basically "Gladiator" the film, in game form. Where you literally fight to death in an arena... I hope you are a troll... Also, I would have dropped my weapon too. The fact is, if you die, you start a whole new life again. And tbh I could only dream that I'd be took prisoner by a group of bandits and forced to fight to the death. It's what this mod SHOULD be like

I found a newly spawned Ural right on the coast on a very popular server after about 5 days of playing :D I was really tired though, and seeing as it was pitch black, I found it really hard to hide it well... Next day it was gone :P Oh well, I didnt care too much, not much use when I'm playing lone wolf. -

You shouldn't really be killing yourself to spawn near Cherno or Elektro. I think i read they are removing the suicide button anyway. To be honest you should try playing to survive, instead of getting the best loot. It is much more fun and nowhere near as frustrating when you die. Every time I've been killed, I've actually enjoyed it. -

Why is this community so hostile. Someone is reporting a bug in the "bug report" section. Yes, this is a bug. Yes, if you know how many slots everything needs you can avoid this, but this is not a permanent fix. He is reporting it so it can actually be fixed. This community is what is letting this great mod down. -

I'm not having a go but why would you shoot unarmed people? They hold no loot whatsoever. Shooting them is going to waste ammo and also attract unwanted attention from other bandits. You're just putting yourself at more risk for no good reason -
Why don't you go find some? Adventure! A race against time to find some before you die.

Well I headed to the NW airfield for the first time. When I arrived at the barracks, I noticed that there was a bench blocking the entrance. This was on GB 00 (gmt-5). I then joined a low population server for the first time just to get inside, yet the same thing had happened. A bench in exactly the same place. Is this put there on purpose to force people to use one entrance or is this a hacker hoarding weapons? I tried getting a screenshot by print screening but it just showed a blank screen. Sorry.
