Either you worded it wrong or misunderstood me.

I haven't used the mosin in ages but if you hold down left mouse it doesn't cycle on its own, does it? I'd enjoy manual bolting.

The Community's List of Suggested Weapons for Dayz Standalone (Version: 1.29)
rybec replied to alexeistukov's topic in Suggestions
The M14 is select fire. If we're talking M1A we'd have Semi only. -
Are you kidding? The more people in a group, the more items thrown into the pool for the rest of the group. Even though there's more consumers, say three people find a sizable number of drinks and food it's enough for everyone.

Reduce running speed by increments as vehicles are introduced

How about making sprinting actually sprinting, and have everyone use standard running for running? WW is all you ever need to use because there's no reason not to. -
It'd be more like "DayZ 2(v.1 Alpha Early Access)"

A sequel. That's a really good joke. I'll be happy to see the game hit v1.0

Weapons end up in strange places sometimes. The StG44 was a tagged picture and was taken in a city near Aleppo. Also, speaking of FALS in a thread about bullpups, have an abomination. An FAL bullpup prototype.

I think there's a similar one in Gorka? Might be a little different. I'm too far away ingame to check.

I'm 100% for it. Gives people an easier way to interact with others. Pretty enlightening. You have only a couple valid points in that post but overall they're awful.

Impossible to make happen, but a server running on ACRE would be really neat if everyone played along. Only if radios were more common of course.

FoV abuse, scatter when snapshoting, on-screen dot and zoom issues

I'd like to thing at some point we'd see firearms shoot where they're pointing and are influenced by where you're turning to look. Insurgency and Red Orchestra are good examples. Remember that you're not firing from the hip, either. You're firing from the shoulder, you're just not using the sights. -
Please Revert back to the old running animations

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this already but maybe nobody has their weapon out not at the ready. The sprinting you are complaining about is when the character has the rifle shouldered and ready to fire. The sprinting you want is when the rifle is lowered and is swung in the arms as you sprint. -
My guys want me to be the navigator for everywhere. Most of the time I don't mind. We usually end up split from playing solo and hop to a less populated server to meet up and then everyone has to leave once we all meet up. Sometimes we shoot at things, but that doesn't get to happen often.

dayz runs better at higher render resolution dafuq
rybec replied to JarheadLeeds's topic in General Discussion
Nono, it's an Arma thing. Sometimes setting cloud quality to the highest or putting settings where you think they shouldn't be actually helps. I remember finding the holy grail of settings that worked for my computer for Arma2 after playing around with them for so long. -
Variety is a nice thing to have. I'm no collector and I have some American camouflage, some East German things, some Russian stuff from Afghanistan during the Soviet-Afghan war among other neat items. I live in Canada, strange and neat things travel to different places. If we count something out because "oh, it doesn't belong", then we shouldn't have foreign weapons and equipment, foreign camo, autodarkening welding helmets instead of standard ones (that one bothers me). You can say "Oh, but those ones came in because X", but then why not older equipment and clothing from other areas then too?

Ingame silly. There are an infinite number of variables to all the different firearms and ammunition to just stick a number on it out of game.

Can a moderator...or anyone give me some advice?
rybec replied to Survivor05's topic in General Discussion
100% honest, the only way to guarantee your safety is for you to know he's there without him knowing you're there. If you have something he wants (or if he's bored) he'll kill you. Exceptions to this happen, but you're going to have to really get a sample from many different people to get that. -
Will be nice when we can use mildots properly, eh?
-
You understand that anything you stick infront of the wad can become lethal through a shotgun and is actually a thing, right? Would be interesting if we had reloading ammunition at some point in the SA and alternatives for shot or a slug could be improvised. You're going to rough up the shotgun, but this isn't going to be a weapon you actually care about like it was one you owned out of the game.

An SS dress uniform wouldn't be of any use of course. Fallschirmjager and Panzergrenadier parkas They'd be nice uniforms to add in as some rain clothing similar to how we have Gorka parkas as waterproof ingame. If you're saying every German in the Wehrmact was a Nazi I suppose everyone is allowed to have incorrect opinions. Even if we say there would be too few uniforms around we could find the odd American Woodland pattern floating around since so many countries all over have used it, or variations on the German Flecktarn and any country's variations on it could also have found it's way to some homes in Chernarus.

The reason nobody uses a bow is the game is way too clunky to use one effectively with any consistency. You either run around until you find a rifle or you find someone with a rifle and you charge him with your fire axe just because. If I could stick a broadhead through a guy from fifty yards away with a bow in the game easier than finding a rifle of my own I might try it.

I would thoroughly enjoy seeing these wounds upon studying the body. Say the guy was shot in the back with 7.62x54 we could see the entry and exit and know he was shot in the back.

Breaking Point had that for the mod and Arma 3. The helicopters constantly move about and at some point they crash (or you could shoot them down and they'd still drop the equipment).
