Would be interesting to find the right way to make that work. Have you ever joined a 100+man teamspeak channel when your ACRE is not enabled and everyone is playing? It's like... well, you have a hundred voices in your head and they're all speaking at once.

I love ACRE, I mean I really love acre. Those radio squelches and distorted voice coms over distances in Arma when I'd be playing 120+ man PVP matches were amazing. I don't think ACRE would fit in DayZ, as the only people who would use it would already be playing using TS or Vent or even Skype. The freeaim would be nice, but most of my combat in DayZ hasn't involved CQC much at all to have made a difference. It'd just be more of a visual thing. EDIT: But I would love to channel surf and have random conversations with people though. 148 radios would be interesting for that.

It would be nice, and the only reason you'd see one without a magazine at that point would be if someone took it and left before you got there.

I can't remember the last (or first) time I've seen a player using a P1, .22 (rifle), crossbow or bow. Ever. I've seen people using axes, SKS, AKM, M4, Mosin, revolver, and Amphibia. I don't think I've ever seen someone using a 1911 come to think of it.

You know, the most Northern parts of the map used to be Poeba dam and the NE airfield that nobody cared about? They're filling up space that used to be empty and tent-country area in the mod. That's a good thing, but I think the woods in the center of the map should be largely untouched, apart from maybe some shacks or other little things.

The only way I'd be semi-okay with it is if you joined your last server you'd be in the same spot. It really would end up horrible with some friends though. Me "Hey buddy, the server we were on last isn't up. Join me on this one. We were at Novy last, right? Oh, I'm at Berezino now. Buddy "Well, I'm at Kamenka. This game is fun. See you in half an hour."

Is it wrong that I like the idea of outdoors knowledge giving us an upper hand in the game? However cheesy this sounds, I think it'd be a good way to encourage some research/learning of being in the bush.

I don't understand how M&B could possibly be a Medieval CoD. Maybe War of the Roses could be, but that one was still enjoyable. The melee combat in Mount and Blade is either on normal mode, or retard mode with automatic blocking. If someone attacks from your left, you need to move your mouse to the left while pressing block. If they attack from the right you need to do the same. Above, below, same thing. Chivalry has a stamina bar that tells you that your block won't work because you left clicked too much. It is also simplified by having no attacking directions. Maybe you tried M&B and didn't understand how the blocking system worked and called it a shit game out of frustration.

Some people just don't know the fun of talking to people before either trading or engaging. When I've played alone I've been startled at the number of people who don't just run off. Of course you have the one or two idiots who charge you, but I suppose I've just been luckier in how interesting my experiences have been.

Would it make sense to leave it as is until another rifle is released where it makes more sense to have it? Just allow the PU scope on it since it's a bent bolt already and we'll assume it's been tapped? My mosin is a 1943 Izhevsk round with a straight bolt which is about as common as it gets and I would've figured that'd be the one that was in the game. More mosin porn for whoever wants it.

It goes a little bit more into detail in the tab menu though, depending on the severity. Red hunger means you really need to eat. Green means you really don't. I think that system is fine.
