I really like the idea of needing tools to modify a rifle in the game, but I have an issue with the PSO making the rifle "clunky" in close quarters. The PSO is side mounted. It doesn't obstruct the irons when mounted allowing you to still use them. Other optics that obscure the irons typically have some sort of backup mounted ontop of the optics to allow you to still aim without looking through it. I'd really like this feature to show up in the game.

As long as the guy you're looking at isn't a midget. From the top of the head to the bottom of the feet in standing in the PSO rangefinder is made for targets approximately 6'

I can tell you equipment absorbs hits so shooting the new guy with no gear tells you nothing. Killing a newspawn literally happens only when someone is bored and wants to pick on someone who can't fight back. Bambi is the worst community made term I have ever heard for new spawns in DayZ as well. Stop that. -

It's understandable that bicycles truly are one of the best vehicles in the mod for being silent and concealable but a bicycle shouldn't be rare, unless you mean this one specifically.

Well, I don't remember the thread it was in before, but I really liked the idea of bush knowledge helping out a lot for the whole survival deal. People go go out in the woods would be familiar with the ideas while people who didn't would be encouraged to look up useful information.

Yes, people here are directly telling you to be a pacifist. Shooting everyone you see is fun but if that's all you're doing you're really missing out on what the game can be like. You baddie :3

I'd really like looking at the selector to see the firemode. As it is now, the MP5 for example is on safe.

Don't worry, the grenades are underwhelming and buggy. Threw a flashbang as a joke to my buddy (after pulling the pin of course) and it disappeared. This was a pristine one. The second flashbang I tried again and he said it was absolutely horrifyingly white and he couldn't see a thing when I did it, but nothing happened for me. I then threw a frag that was pristine and nothing happened again. -
I always wonder how he'd feel knowing his name would become a pink deer head decal on women's trucks in Alberta and similar areas.

When implemented, cars won't ruin it at all. I don't think you have the same idea of how common cars will/should be. It's going to be a real treat to get one going if the developers hold true to what they've been hinting at. Losing a car will be heartbreaking as opposed to "9999+ cars 24/7 DM Fast loot respawn" servers from the mod where you'll find a new one shortly. -

The game is a whole lot more fun when interacting with people is more than point and left click.

I have three locations I can locate without a map at all, one being West, South, and one in the center. Only once did I ever have an issue with one person finding one of them in the mod.

This is straying a fair ways away but in the Misery mod for Stalker they added in a couple enemies like the mutated cat. It's maybe a little smaller than a leopard but it's very unique in that unlike everything else that wants to kill you they are completely silent. When you have a snork or a bloodsucker yelling and roaring and panting as they're after you, it's absolutely terrifying to have no idea this fucking cat is running at you from behind you claw you in half. That said silent zombies wouldn't fit this game.

Wrong! This is the wrong way to respond. It's like you didn't read his post. His entire comment is to put fixing large problems instead of adding content. "It's only an alpher mate" isn't going to cut it.

Shortening it wouldn't all of the sudden make it inaccurate. If you're shooting 300m with a mosin and try the same with an Obrez, it's going to be fairly easy to see I'm sure. It's still a rifle cartridge being fired out of a rifled barrel. You're just giving it less rifling to spin from and less of a barrel for the gas to propel it through. -
Can't wait for people to buy DayZ for nearly $70 to start it up and get told it's an alpha and they are not allowed to complain about the quality.
