Yeah, getting to Zeleno supermarket is my main goal for now, because, as I have written already, it seems to me as a safer place than Cherno or Electro, and it's closer too. I was fine with zombies unless they spawned really close, and I didn't see them spawn. Except for the one in Zeleno. But I don't think I was clear in my OP. I asked if it was smarter to go directly to Zeleno, or trying to loot Kamenka and Pavlovo like I did last time? If I don't find any food again, it's taking a fair amount of time, and by the time I reach Zeleno, I have to hurry to find something to eat... I'm sure I won't go east. Trying to gear up in Zeleno seems like the smartest thing at the moment. I could go to Balota if there weren't those graphical glitches which make that area unplayable. Unless they fixed it?

The thing I like probably the most (aside from server filters) is the information you get before updating your game. It says how much servers are using the new updates, how much servers are still on the older ones... It's really such a useful tool! Not to mention that I had 9999 ping shown on almost every server when I was using six launcher.

Google and download DayZ Commander. For me it works much better than Six Launcher, it has a bunch of useful filters - one of them being the day/night only filter.

Do you know what surface area is? If the map is 225km^2 it means that you can put 225 1x1km squares on it. If the size is 225x225 km that would mean that you can put 225 squares in one row and than expand that row for 224 more times. Do your math, the map is around 15x15km. I know that it's irrelevant to the topic, but still... come on.

I thought it was 225km^2. So, what you're saying is that the map is more than 57 thousand km^2?

You won't crawl 100km, the map isn't that big. And how is there no point in doing exactly that? It's a survival game, so survive. Whining on forum won't get you any morphine. Send your friend to get it for you if you want it to be quicker.

I'm pretty sure it's not allowed to give tips on pirate-playing, but this will be an anti-propaganda, so I think that's ok. Anyway... I also tried to play the pirated version of Arma to see if it is as good like some videos made it look, using Tunngle (google, I don't want to explain). I followed a simple youtube tutorial on how to install and play pirated version. And after half an hour the pirated version made me WANT to buy the original game. Don't even bother playing that, really. This is still an alpha, but compared to screw-ups that can happen when you play pirated version, it feels like a fully released game. It's cheap for the amount of money you need to pay. Since you don't buy DayZ, you buy Arma which has a lot of things to do and modes to play. I personally don't play that, but I think a lot of people do. Just buy the game, there are so much more overrated games not worth buying. This is NOT one of them. P.S. I don't play many games, and most of those which I own I actually tried pirated version first, just to see if I'll be able to run it. And that's OK,

So I just found a map for the first time in this game. And looking through the menu on the map, I was clicking on everything in order - map, notes... and whatever comes next, I didn't even read to be honest. I clicked on the last one and it showed me a screen like the one you get in lobby when pressing server control button. I then immediately got kicked out. I really don't care about that and didn't feel like waiting again to start the game so I exited the entire game. Then it hit me - will my character be saved when I join the game again?

Did you ever kill a guy, he died and then the info came out "player xx was killed"? And then you actually read what it says - next to his name are a few letters in a squared brackets like this [ATX]? So you realize that he's a part of a group or a clan. You have everything you need, and you've been playing for just a few days and got lucky finding a ghillie suit in a tent in the woods. But that clan tag just stays in your mind. And there is nothing you can do really besides waiting for that bullet with just your name on it. Yeah, that's a pretty stupid feeling. Like it is starting the game again. At least this time I found a map!

I'm not even sure if there is a "rule" why this problems occur. Like, I can run the game now via six launcher, like some guys that I should play with do, but I don't have the server they're playing on on my list. Maybe I have overseen something, is there even a filter for servers on six launcher?

Ok, here's what I did. Installed everything manually - not working. After installing beta 95417, I couldn't even start the game. So I started Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA again using steam, and then launched for the third time, but as Combined operations. That fixed the "bad serial number" problem, but still my loading screen wouldn't go away. So I downloaded six updater, updated the game and I managed to join the first server I tried - and it took less time than ever before.

So, degrading client version and beta patch should do the trick? I don't get it though, why is it all working for some people and not for others.

This is getting worse and worse. I installed the newest beta 95417, not working. I tried validating my Arma 2 and OA in steam and when both finish validating, there's a little pop-up window that says it has finished downloading, and another window saying "1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired". After that I try to enter the game, but it says "bad cd key" or something like that. What now?! Also, before bad cd-key info I get a message saying "Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_Dubbing_Counterattack' " Edit: The message isn0t bad cd-key, but "Bad serial number given in Setup". Can someone please help me? Would it do any good if I deleted my '@DayZ' folder and OA Beta Patch and reinstalled them again? I did this manually always and it worked fine until now.

Well, scrough it! I'm gonna try tomorrow. I installed everything manually, no six launcher, no arma launcher, nothing. Maybe Arma site works tomorrow and there's a magical 954... something beta patch and it will all work again and I could dance with zombies yet again. That would be marvelous! Oh, joy!

No, really, I read that there were some problems with loading games when wearing a ghillie, so I thought that I could have that problem, since I did everything recommended in this topic and still can't play. (1 server so far let me in)

This is ridiculous! I can't even wxit the game with alt+f4! I have to press mute sound and then right click and close the game :lol: Not even ctrl+alt+del works! Amazing! And you guys say DayZ is repetitive >:(

Yeeeaaa - no. None of this is working for me. 1.7.2.4. version, 95389 beta patch update, 1.66 BE, and also that dayz_weapons file you guys put in here. But still nothing. I have a ghillie suit, fuck yeah! Maybe the suit is so awesome you don't even see the game has loaded?

Well that's great. So no Dayz untill wednesday, unless I find a list of US servers which allow to wear ghillie. Does you character get hungry when you're not playing?

Yeah, I just saw your post and tried it, it works for me as well. Is there a way to recognize a server which allows ghilie suits?

OK, last time I played was about 6 hours ago. And I found a tent with 8 ghilie suits in it, took one and left my civilian cloathing in it, so I don't have to carry it. Now I can't go past the loading screen (updated to 1.7.2.4, beta patch still not updated) So what you're all saying is - I can't get in the game because of the ghilie suit?! What the fuck should i do now?!

I use to play on US servers because Us had daylight whenever I played. But I played on some french servers recently when it was 4 or 5 pm here (it's an hour less in France) and it was night on that server. I thought that server time is exact like real time, but I guess it isn't.
