I'm quite sure everyone, including the dev team is aware of this. Complaining is allowed even in alpha, but once all you're doing is complaining, that's when we can say "it's an alpha!".

If they're basically reskins it would get boring real quick (the weapon load-outs, I mean). I have always been in favour of military weapons, the problem in the mod was that no matter how rare you make something, the server will keep spawning loot indefinitely, making any weapon infinitely obtainable. The item management server feature thingy should fix that. I don't mind the Lee or Kar98 (love that gun), but I don't want JUST those kind of weapons. I want a wide variety of rare items. Meds, guns, ammo, vehicles, vehicle parts, clothing, backpacks, storage (tents etc), and so on. -
So I saw a topic stating you need a very high drink value, plus a very high energy value. So what I did was this: I drank a load of water (like 10 sips or so) plus 3 to 4 cans of soda, plus a bag of cereals, plus a bag of rice. I sat down for about 90 minutes yet I didn't gain any blood at all. Any help?

NIGHT is sopposed to be more challengung. Neither is it supposed to be as easy as daytime. I'm in favour of the 24-hour system, and by no means am I unable to see anything. The gamma thing needs fixing so flashlights are more usable, that's it. Also: -ite does not equal -ight...

What guns do you want to see?

MG34, Germans brought a lot of those to both Russia and Czechoslovakia. Same with MG42's later on in the war, and Yugoslavia and other countries in the vicinity mass produced them afterwards. Also a gun that can replace the DMr from the mod. So basically a battle rifle with the option for an extended barrel, bipod and scope. Dragunov would count, but it has a too low rate of fire compared to the DMR. So yeah... M14 please! Or a Tokarev with extended barrel and extended mag options. The original had quite a limited mag size. -

Nothing wrong with possibilities as long as said guns are rare. Having a lee-enfield, mosin, kar98, etc. is pointless as they're almost the same weapon (yeayea, not in rl, but in game they would be). It would get so boring. And there's nothing wrong with LMG's, the pkr is basically an ak74 with worse handling and a bigger mag... I'd love an MG34 or MG42. I'd so put an ACOG on it. -
They already finished working on nightvision for SA. Rocket did the coding on it himself. I like a 24-hours day/night cycle btw, but it should be influenced by the season.

Also, it's a way of stealing peoples gear without killing them. Plus they don't need to comply as much. As for the masks, they're probably one model with different decals on them. So it hardly took as much time as you think it did. -

You're saying Dean shouldn't add things simply because he likes it, then you say "did anyone see character X from the walking dead wear a mask?". Kettle and stuff... Please leave twd out of it. It's not DayZ and DayZ is not twd. If I see one more person comparing those two I'm gonna cry. At least the "primitive guns only" boring crowd has already got their teeth knocked out simply by the presence of the attachment system. Coz yea... They obviously didn't make that system for Winchesters or just an AK and SKS. Also, those masks were part of the special Pre-order only version of Payday 2. I'm sure a couple of people in the Czech Republic must've gotten it + the masks. It should just be a bit more rare than what we saw in the demo. And yeah, it's not something that should've had priority, but damn, he's working his ass off on the mod nearly all the time, if he wants to add something personal and something that might lighten his week up a bit, then I have more than just understanding for that. -

If you're wondering why there are so few guns, I think it's because the modelers for them also work on other items, of which there will be several hundreds at Alpha release. A lot of these items are needed to test new mechanics (crafting, etc.) and as such get priority over weaponry of which they won't need a lot of feedback/testing anyways. It's not like they have people working SPECIFICALLY on weapons. I too was disappointed, but no way it kills my hype to play alpha. Not to mention I'm sure they'll add more in a matter of weeks after release. -

It's just that roleplaying hasn't ever interested me a single bit, never has. Tbh, I find it arrogant that someone would think they could "claim" a building like the electro church. I don't even have the arrogance to claim my own tent that hasn't been found for 9 months (placed it inside of a roadblock). Most roleplaying I did was when I was 13, playing soldier. I just think it's ridiculous. It would be nice if you could drop the arrogance of calling other people names because they don't want to join in on your... thing. -

Which is partially why Im excited for alpha... No longer being subject to whatever the DayZ-mod team thinks is good, and the changes they implement based on it, as I generally dislike most (not all) of the things they changed since they got in charge. Tents being useless, weapon balance changes, infection, ... Id rather have zombies be 3 hit kill than infectious like they are now... I guess you could say that in order to make the game less KOS and more zombie orientated, they made very... Friendly-skewed/uncreative/unpractical/unbalanced decissions. On the other hand, considering its still a mod, I can see they are rather limited on resources and engine lvl access, so its not like they actually COULD do anything more creative/better, I suppose... -
Opinions on armed vehicles?

I would like to see this as a crafting option on certain vehicles tbh. It should probably take two passenger seat and/or cargo slots in order to not make it a straight upgrade. EG: The blue van would lose the two back seats in order to fit a SAW/another weapon you can find in-game. (Would love an MG42 mounted on a reinforced blue soccer mom van. This obviously shouldn't work with a GAZ or something similar. I would also love a turret-less T-34 ... -

He means you need to enter the car as driver, and then leave it, and then refuel. -
The DMR fires .308 round, not .306. As you seemingly have some experience with firearms, I don't think I need to point out how much of a difference in recoil there is between these two. Also, people seem to ignore the fact the DMR has a bipod; the impact of a bipod irl is huge. As an example: MG42's fire a round that is incredibly similar to .308. This gun fires at a RPM of 1500 (more or less, I CBA to look it up). People just seem to want to get rid of electro snipers so they won't be bothered as much trying to play the game their way whilst not being bothered about the fact they are ruining other peoples play style... Guns in DayZ are already peashooters as it is (12k blood...).

Normally you wouldn't survive a Mosin-Nagant shot to the chest either... Or not for long, at least. If blood levels were lowered back to realistic (Arma) values, I wouldn't mind if they removed them, but then people would complain they die too quickly. Wusses be complaining about anti-material rifles when they have roughly 3 times more health than they should... Tsk. You can lump your winchester/civilian guns around for all I care, I'm still going to pick the military weapons and KOS whenever I can. Get a clan together on TS, you random Skype casuals! >=D That said, I don't kill newspawns/unarmed people, I just like my m107's filling up my tent like some sort of treasure. -
