My very first....wait...second life (first life I spawned right in front of some fully geared chap with a m4a1 SD.) I spawned in and ran for the hills. I stumbled across 5 tents with a ton of gear, grabbed an AS50 and 5 mags. Now I'm just running around, not knowing where I am with a giant sniper rifle. After about 10 minutes I find myself out in front of an airfield (what I now know is Balota) and I hear shots, I drop to the ground and look towards the tower. I see two players looting the body of the survivor they had just killed. I carefully line up a shot on the guy standing guard, BOOM, dead. Quickly Hit the follow up shot on the player looting, two bandits down. Then, being the noob that I was, I ran straight in to loot the bodies. As i approached the bodies I saw another player inside the tower just waiting for me to loot his friends. I sprinted away and he gave chase and opened fire with his AKM, missing badly. I turned and fired a prayer no scope shot with my AS50.....He collapsed, instantly swarmed by flys. So there I was 30 minutes into the game, holding one of the most powerful guns, and the proud owner of 3 bandit kills. I thought I was pro. I was wrong :(

For the love of god, please, no classes, or perks...Might as well add in killstreaks.

I've grown quite bored of soloing. I either go up north and loot camps or head back down south and get killed by groups of players. But I don't really want to be a part of a large group either. I just want 1 or 2 more player to team up with.

I have no idea how to dupe items (except for backpacks, ran into that on accident.) But I constantly run into tents full of "rare" guns. Found 6 L85's in one camp. I think since I know how to duplicate back packs, I'm going to take everyone's duplicated high end gear out of their tents and fill them up with patrol packs and then save the tents. Imagine your disappointment when you go to your camp to pick up your M107 but all you have in your tent is 50 starter back packs.

I agree, just adding more vehicles won't do much. I think it needs a complete overhaul. Maybe making the storage pretty much non existent would help. Perhaps just enough room for a primary and a few mags.

I find the vehicle system to be horribly designed. They are non existent for pretty much anyone but clans and admins. In two weeks, I've found a bus and pretty much just use it for storage as it's a pain in the ass to drive around with all the roads being blocked in and around towns. I found an ATV but it was flipped on it's side and apparently my character is not strong enough to push it back over. I found one truck and one chopper in their spawn locations but the server disappeared. Now, I've only seen three vehicles being driven and two of them were on my first day. The third was a chopper flying over head. I'm not asking for grand theft auto type vehicle numbers. But the numbers now are ridiculously low.

I'm a console player that started playing last week. I HATE achievements or any other shit popping up on my screen while unnecessary music plays. I also only kill players who pose a threat or players that I know have recently killed other players. Or if they happen to startle me, Sprint around a corner at me and I'm going to fill you full of lead. lol.

220 or so with 190 being head shots. I was on day 5 but I was then outsmarted by two guys. :(

I just found one of those thermal as50's in a tent. :D

Should have just disabled the respawn button for the first 10 or 15 minutes of time alive. No need to take it out completely.

Bug out and show no items in them? I returned to my camp today and my two tents seem to have given birth to a third tent which is morphed inside one of the original tents. All of my gear is gone, even some useless tin cans I put in there. I put them there so that if a came back and everything was gone but the cans, I would know it was looted. I've had this happen before where everything, sometimes even the tent itself would disappear, but then be back later. Is this a known glitch, or did someone find my camp? Should I come back and check after a server restart?

I also don't have the option to "pack up old tent", so I'm hoping my stuff is still there and just not visible.

Because they appear useless and replace your back pack.

I just passed one up in the NW Airfield yesterday. They seem to do 0 damage in the videos I have seen.

I haven't read every post here so some of my suggestions may have already been mentioned. It will tell you your location. After you know your location, go to this map to figure out where you are and where the closest loot is. http://dayzdb.com/map#2.071.079 The barns are great for finding weapons and are relatively safe. Cities like Electro and Cherno are great for finding all kinds of gear but they are VERY dangerous. When I first spawn, I sprint freely to the nearest city to loot all I can. Good chance I will be shot but what am I really losing at that point? I just started playing this game a week and a half ago and like you, I was also a noob to PC gaming. But I picked it up fairly quickly and have had a few long lives. Not sure why everyone is bashing you here, this is the NEW player forum. If you want, you can add me on steam and I will help you figure things out. My steam name is BlksnshN Now, as for your suggestion to bring back the starting weapon. I don't agree. At most, it would be a Makarov and that would only serve to give new players a false sense of security. You'd feel safe until the first time you wasted 2 mags of ammo trying to down a single zig zagging zombie. It's only really effective indoors where the Z's are slow. And if you get them inside, it's a much better idea to just run out the other exit, losing them instead of announcing your location by firing off the Makarov. Good luck.

I stuck a tent out behind the Balota AF just to see how long it would last. Kind of forgot all about it until I died and had to regear. I ran to the tent fully expecting it to be gone or looted but it was still there and still full of gear. lol. Been there for 5 days.

Found a MK 48 MOD 0 with plenty of ammo at the NW airfield :D. I make it out alive and I'm running through the woods and find a tent. It contains a SVD Camo with 50 mags :D. I switch my MK into my back pack and pick up the SVD. Short time later I open my back pack and there is no MK48 MOD 0 :( :o. That is how I learned the not enough room in the back pack glitch. :emptycan:

I really think something needs to change with the vehicles. Not only have I never driven one, I've only seen 3 on the move.
