It's pretty much always going to be dark when I can play.

Well that's cool that it's doable. I wonder if you can drink from the wells without a container?

Would really like it if you didn't need a container to take a drink from a pump or a pond. If I'm so thirsty that I may pass out, I think I may just take a drink from the source.

I can't travel far and wide. I feel tired. I want to take a nap. I feel thirsty. My mouth is dry.

An axe. A hammer that I didn't know how to use and then desappeared. A pistol that I didn't know how to use and then disappeared. A medkit that I don't know how to use. An IV start kit that I don't know how to use. A rotten banana that I don't know how to eat. Some rockin Aviators and a sweet Beanie hat. In summary, I don't know how to work the inventory system but I like wearing sunglasses at night.

Saw the same bug but with a shirt. Entire torso disappeared.

They really complicated the hell out of the inventory system.

The second I spawned in I was Thirsty and tired.

Like someone else said, balance is the key. It becomes an issue when EVERYONE in the server is a "bandit". I took about a three month break from DayZ and when I returned my favorite server had been changed to an Epoch server. All of the people who used to play are gone and have been replaced by clans of kids who drive around in their armored SUV's and Hummers with machine guns on them gunning down everyone they see. Except of course for the other clans which they are friendly with. All they do is troll players who are no threat to them.

I play on a server with 10 or so choppers and recently they recently removed the .50's. It's crappy.

I believe the number of crash sites depends on the server. I quite often see them all bunched up in one general area.

Yeah, but the person I quoted says that's cheating. So I would like to know how HE communicates with his team if skype, ts3, steam, etc, is cheating.

So how do you communicate with your team? If something happens and your whole team is wiped out, how do you communicate your spawn points or where you want to meet without using anything but direct comms?

I enforce my own are restrictions. If I hear a squeaker in chat, I shoot them in the face.

I jumped on DayZ for about 15 minutes last night to try to set up an X Box controller (INB4 ERMEHGOD WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT) to play DayZ with as I am much more comfortable with a controller. Before I was even half way through mapping the controls I noticed my character suddenly had an AS50 TWS. Then a news alert type message showed up on the screen proclaiming that "the admins are f#%king idiots" and my character started dancing.

I was flying just a bit north of Stary earlier tonight when I started taking fire from an AS50 and a DMR. So I landed at stary about 100m away from a custom checkpoint that is on the server I play on. I ran to the bunker and hid. After about five minutes two guys, one with a DMR and one with an AS50 coming running up and jumped in the chopper. I shot the pilot and then the passenger as soon as he got out. I decided to stay there and use the chopper as bait. After another 10 or so minutes another chopper comes flying in, lands, and the gunner gets out and runs to the bait chopper. I shoot him in the face. Now, the other chopper, instead of leaving, decides to hover, about 5m off the ground, over the area where his friend just got shot with an AS50. I waited until I had a clear shot on him and took him out. I now have two bait choppers. Ended up killing 7 guys all together, even though the side chat was filled with warnings to stay away from the Choppers at Stary. All of the people I killed were heavily armed. I don't kill beach bambi's.

Do the exact opposite of what I've been doing.

I play on the GreyZ server and I love it. 100+ vehicles. Hiking simulator gets old very fast.

I had just spawned in a new server when I saw a Bambi with a Winchester. I claimed "friendly" completely intending on keeping my word. He was bleeding so I bandaged his wounds and asked if he needed anything else. I then told him goodbye and went on my way only to have him continue to follow me, constantly attracting zombie agro. I told him I didn't want to team up but he wouldn't go away. Eventually one of the zombies he agro'd hit me and made me bleed. I asked him to come and bandage my wounds and when he knelt to bandage me, I buried my hatchet into his cranium. He was later asking why I killed him, I replied simply, "Welcome to DayZ". I didn't feel bad, he was annoying.

Honestly no. I haven't had too much of a chance to read a lot about it.

I'm also hoping for customization. Playing Vanilla DayZ has become tedious and boring.
