This solved 24 hours worth of frustration. Thank you sir, take my beans. NOTE: arma2 free users just navigate to the arma2 free installation directory and move the addons folder into your operation arrowhead folder. Even if it is your steamapps/common/ directory.

Every time I try to join a server I get a loading screen, a brief glimpse of the lobby, and am immediately kicked back to the main arma 2 OA menu. After deleting @DayZ and doing a manual install / manual beta patch I was able to join a server, but since disconnecting I am getting the same issue again. Re installing has not helped since. Also tried manual update of battle eye to no avail.

The "cool down" just got patched in. I am sure it has kinks to work out, but Its all in all better to see alt+f4 tactics discouraged.

I thought competition was always good for innovation. It is probably safe to assume that warZ and dayZ are going to be two totally different animals. I would rather not judge a game by 4 screen shots and an interview though. I can guarantee the $30 barrier to entry will keep me waiting for a free trial though. Also it is a wee ignorant to hate on a modification that is in alpha. Jesus, its like some people have never played a pc mod before. Half-Life mods anyone? Counter-Strike barely worked when it was in early beta.
