where's the easiest place to find a makarov / magazines for it? i've only found one mag, once, in an airfield hangar. not the sort of place i would be looking for such a low end pistol.

melee feedback comes in 2 forms...you will see a small blood effect appear when you hit them, and you should hear a sound similar to a bullet hitting a sandbag. it's not great, but it's something. if you killed a zombie you should've heard or seen that at least a few times.

so basically, to the surprise of exactly no one, you really have zero way of making that distinction. if people are shooting at you, you were the one who fucked up in the first place. way to go champ.

apparently the crossbow is pretty terrible too. i've never used it but i have a friend that tried it out several times, apparently really not worth it at all.

lol @ Kos = troll i seriously don't know why people that think this crap even play this game. this is like playing GTA and calling someone a troll when they steal your car.

arma 3's breaking point mod has an awesome feature for pussies who DC in combat...when you log out, your character stands up for 45 seconds. if they die in that time, well, they're dead. makes it so they can only log out in a safe area. it's no wonder that without the proper penalty in place, all of the cowards have flocked to this game. the fact that there is a stickied thread about KoS is a testament to these babies.

i find it ironic that you play a game that has had a decent amount of dev time focused on items and mechanics that encourage this behavior.

look for servers that restart often, and try to head to a town that seems less popular than others. small towns that aren't on the way to or from major points of interest. honestly though it's not your fault, unfortunately how well you do at looting basically relies on how soon the server restarted and how many people have been through before you...there isn't much "skill" to it, so don't feel bad about gaming the restart cycles.

ya and that's assuming they can even find out who the hacker is... i guess there's private shards coming later which will give some actual incentive but it blows my mind that people are renting these right now

i'm curious as to what the incentives are for people to rent a server? sounds like you get exactly zero of the benefits that make it worthwhile.
