  1. we are 2 paramedics currently near Msta (on the "normal" servers). if anyone is relatively close, especially near cherno / balota area (we are headed that way soon), send me a PM and we will patch you up and give you some bandages and supplies
  2. i never loot military locations, you should try that sometime. actually keeps things interesting instead of having the literal best of every single piece of loot/equipment. also, me and a bud are currently running around as paramedics. i somehow doubt that will get boring anytime soon.

    Paramedic clothes

do Paramedic clothes only spawn in Hospitals? me and a friend have been trying to outfit ourselves as a medic squad, but for some reason these clothes seem to be extremely rare... on the topic of being a medic, is there any other clothes / hats / etc anyone can suggest would be good? i'm not even sure i know all of the different kinds of clothes and head gear that spawns, because some clothing items seem to only spawn in incredibly specific locations and/or be more rare than AK drum mags...we were thinking of using UN berets/helmets. lastly, what type of loot are those white dust masks considered? i.e. Equipment, supplies, etc....those also seem to be incredibly rare, but they would fit well for medics.
  5. thanks for the info bud, appreciate it

    Paramedic clothes

ikr i never loot military camps because everything after is a joke (pvp / pve / etc), but my friend just started playing and wanted some cool looking army clothes so i brought her to NWAF. 40 minutes later, we both have tricked out AKMs with something like 400 rounds between both of us...like wtf. but i can't find a dust mask for the life of me.

    The 'war on snipers'

cry babies are already getting huge crutches against bandits, which is all i see with why sniping is so bad...insanely fast move speed, 7.62x51mm damage same as 7.62x39, general complete lack of sniping options other than 1 rifle/scope combo, crazy scope sway, crazy clothes armor...the list goes on, but then: i killed a guy with 2 bullets to the head from an AK yesterday...when I checked his inventory, every single item on his person, short of 3 items in his pants, were ruined. I don't know if the bullets travelled into his chest area and as a result the game considered his chest / backpack damaged, but it was the dumbest thing i'd seen in dayz in awhile. 2 bullets destroying 50 something items... there are more than enough crutches for people who don't like banditry, KoS or PvP, the very least that could be conceded is to make sniping fun and enjoyable again.
  8. reading this is really making me consider never playing this again. they are spitting in the face of the exact kind of work that allowed DayZ to flourish at all. do you have some sources i can read up on, if possible? it's not that i don't believe you, but anything i learn that righteously pisses me off and changes my opinion on something i try to get all the facts of.
  9. you've got some balls, OP, i'll give you that. have some beans.
  10. lel i like how DayZ being in alpha is somehow the trump card in the discussion of players running so fast it makes pvp a joke. discussion's over people, pack it up!
  11. the sprint speed feels insanely fast in general...3 of us today opened fire on someone 100m away and it took roughly 20 shots combined before someone hit him due to him sprinting and zig zagging at 30km/hr... some kind of momentum build up that takes a second before sprinting reaches full speed would be really nice..being able to literally dance your way out of oncoming fire is terrible.
  12. it makes perfect sense to me to remove the zombies if they're completely broken, especially as testers. they are bugged as hell and capable of killing or maiming you despite defending yourself sensibly, which only gets in the way of playing/testing every other part of the game. if vehicles were implemented tomorrow, would it not be wise to disable unnecessarily impeding (and broken) parts of the game that prevent most testers from using them? if active development was being done to the zombies then they should obviously be present for testers to see what's changed, but (and forgive me for not keeping myself too up to date) as far as i'm concerned, zombies have only gotten worse since i started playing the mod/SA, and i haven't seen any work being done to them since i can remember.
  13. had a pretty similar situation to you OP...was looting with a bambi friend getting her some gear, and eventually i get tired of the stupid melee dance you have to play with zombies to not get hit so i bust out mr .357... however, i'd say 33% of the time when I would shoot a zombie that was running for us, if they were within 10 meters one of us would still take a hit. so i blow our cover using a revolver on some zombies and we're still getting doinked by em. edit...i should add it was pretty laggy (dropped items would appear 10 feet away from where you dropped them, crap like that), but considering this level of lag happens is pretty common its pretty bad.

i'm guessing he was banned for a reason...

    Kiddy Bandits

haha, definitely rambo. i'm not denying huge differences in maturity or gaming tendencies at all. i'm not even that old, but what i've lost in my ability to land crazy twitch headshots in CS, i've gained in cunning and strategy. press X to pay your mortgage :(

    was this a hacker?

not to de-rail this thread, but is this intentional or a bug? clothing taking fall damage, that is.

Just committed pre-wipe suicide in Berezino

could you regale me with how you would've masterfully taken out those 4 plebs you bestowed your inspiring mercy upon?
  18. it's a double edged sword, the persistence...on one hand, i completely agree that having ridiculous caches, and worse yet, clans or groups with said caches that go and pick up their bro immediately after he dies- this sort of thing really softens the otherwise brutal edge of consequence. it's kind of like if a roguelike such as nethack had a magical bag of holding that you could throw your favourite items into for next time. it's kind of annoying when i see / kill a guy that is fully geared but is playing like a moron, because the consequence to him doing so is basically negligible. i know even after i kill him, he's on TS and his buddy is bringing him a shiny new M4. on the other hand, setting up a camp / home base of some kind makes complete sense in a survival scenario / game. like, why wouldn't you be able to? what kind of constructive suggestions are there to combat this? the first thing that comes to mind to me, is that anything persistent you've built such as a tent, gets destroyed upon your death. true to the roguelike example above, you can save your stuff, and have your camp, but when you die, it's all from scratch.
  19. you're thirsty bro nice run though for real...i also appreciate how organized your inv is. mine basically always looks like a grenade went off in a dumpster

    Kiddy Bandits

situation 1 - Player is looting every house down a long street, running everywhere they go, making lots of noise. they are using the front doors of every building, creating a nice predictable pattern. when he gets to the end of the street, i step out from an alley and shoot him in the chest, i grab all the stuff that he saved me the trouble of looting. situation 2 - i'm tracking a player that has a nice big backpack, but didn't have any weapon that i could see. i'm getting pretty close, and am getting cocky in my head as i plan out where i'm going to get him (the firehouse). i follow him in, forget to check my corners and i get gutted with a kitchen knife. SKS + scope, 7.62x39 / 7.62x51 / .357 ammunition, .357 magnum, and every handy tool you can think of, are all his now. both times, the victim got outplayed, slipped up, etc. and i would argue every murder in DayZ short of getting shot while you're still on the beach, or a lag kill something else generally out of your control, is the victim's fault such that they made mistakes and got outplayed. this ageist garbage is nothing more than refusing to admit you screwed up.
