If you see all the servers go down, then expect it be an update. And yes, it is an update - to 1.5.1. Get them files downloaded!

Hmmm, screenshot wasn't what I was expecting. Does it just throw you straight back to the server list, or display any errors? Are you using a retail version of the game, or Steam (both people)? If Steam - did you run Arma2 first, once it was installed, before trying to play the mod? Are you definitely launching Combined Operations (Steam Library > Operation Arrowhead > [right click] Launch Combined Operations.

When you say it stops - does the game actually freeze, or does it seem like it just stops? The AUTH server that the mod uses gets hammered 24/7, all I'd say is have a *bit* of patience and just let it load. Sit back and listen to some music and let it load - it will get there eventually.

It can take anywhere between a matter of seconds' date=' or many minutes. I've known of people to be sat on the same screen for 10 minutes for the first log-in. Just have some patience, start it up and go make a brew or something. When you say "the text in the background", could you elaborate? Or even post a screen shot? From memory, you Join a server which will take you to the squad / player selection. Loading from there will load the mission file (Receiving mission data) and then the screen should black out and will go through a period of "waiting for the host", "getting player ID", "receiving character data from server" and "creating character". Pretty sure that's the standard load-in.

The part about items missing - you simply click OK and it will continue loading - everyone gets them, they're not essential to the game. As for the "Wait for character to create", I'm afraid you're going to have to sit there and wait for it to create. Once you've logged in and out several times, it becomes a matter of seconds, not minutes, to log-in to a server.

And if they're full, there's always FR1 and 2, which should only be an hour behind?

In a direct answer to the question; yes, there are M24s in the game - I have one sitting in my backpack. I believe there are also M107s still around, but you will not find the TWS (thermal) variant of it.

The problem is though that this requires you to actually be hit. I've become a bandit simply because people have tried to shoot me and completely missed - I don't make that mistake and ensure I hit them, and usually put in a couple more rounds just to be safe... Humanity is a good idea on paper, I really believe that; but how it's been implemented in the game in its current state? Not so much. I'd say remove humanity for the time being and keep working on the bugs that they've been working towards anyway! Adding such a big thing in at this stage will only (and has) created more issues for them to work on.
