I haven't had any glitches (nor those I play with) since changing the Max Video Memory option to default and adding this start-up parameter to my shortcut: -maxVRAM=<number> where number is your maximum VRAM -1 - in my case I have a HD6950 2GB, so I use -maxVRAM=2047. Should help some people. Also, if one flush doesn't work, do it a few times and it should clear it after a couple of tries.

I'll be honest with you, the Twitter feed is very slow at updating on issues. Server owners have the means to obtain further information, but this is only for server owners / hosters.

And you know it's not related to the DDOS how? It has been mentioned before by Rocket - when you are stuck on "waiting for character to create", and I mean literally stuck on it, the server isn't communicating / synchronising with the HIVE server. Read into that what you will.

If you took time to actually read the announcements and threads that have been flying around all day - the HIVE server has been subjected to a rather disturbing DDoS attack. The servers have been functional for a couple of periods of an hour or so throughout the day, but the attack is continuous and is causing a lot of issues, hence why HIVE is offline. In this state, you won't be able to connect to any server.

Don't know if this has been suggested before or not - but t3rminal, can you stick a page on the site with a list of who's in the DayZ team, and what they do. Will make it much, much easier for people to point queries the right way :) :heart:

The only thing I can suggest you do in addition to the suggestions above, is to hop on IRC to try and catch one of the Devs, or send an email to them so that they can wipe your character so you can spawn in again. This has happened before and that's the way I've known for it to be resolved.

Redownload all the files and overwrite any you have. Rejoin the game and see how you get on.

No, it's not. 2500 is the limit for humanity-regeneration. You can go far beyond that by doing "positive" actions within the game - applying medical treatments to other players.

If you mean you're in the exact same state when you swap between servers, then that's exactly what the save system is there for - to provide persistence through servers. So whatever your character state is on one server, it will be the same on any other.

Yup, it uses the same bind as Binoculars - B. Be aware though, that from what I've seen, you can only have two things equipped out of Rangefinders, Bino's and NVGs. If you have RF and Bino's, whatever is in the Top Left slot of the gear loadout, will be used when pressing B.

There has been some issues with zombies on servers. How many different servers have you tried?
