If you're going through the trouble of reinstalling, you will have to check if there's any remnants of the files in there and delete those as well. Otherwise you could have saved doing that anyway. There's only those three places where it can be, as I described above, so make sure it's not in those places. -
Try to reinstall the mod. We are talking about the DayZ Mod here, yes? None of its derivates? Try installing it on Steam, the Mod is on Steam as well.

There have been a lot of topics regarding this and I mean a lot. There's nothing the devs can do nor will do, as there's no reason to. You can't control people and you could still talk to your brother if he's sitting right next to you, playing with you, resulting in the same thing. There's no need to discuss this any further, I am afraid - as this topic will get a lot of people very angry whilst there's nothing that can / will be done.

There is no LAN option for this, as it is an MMO. And considering you wrote "0.45" you are talking about the Standalone, but you have posted in the Mod-Section. Please make sure to post in the correct section.

You see, you can always chose not to, if you know exactly what's going to happen. There is no need to go into a high PVP zone, if you know what's happening anyway and that you expect there to be hackers. This is not an excuse, but it's also not an excue to blame the dev's, just because you want to PVP. You will have to change your behaviour, if you have the knowledge of some areas not working for gameplay. -

What do you mean? It's been in ARMA 2 on Chernarus and has always been in SA.

You do not make fun of disabled people, this kind of behavior can lead to a warning and a temporary timeout, as there is no need for that. There are threads out there regarding the weaponsway in the latest patch as well as the Stable Patch Discussion, feel free to contribute in a constructive manner. This isn't. Make sure you don't have two versions of the mod installed, there can be two / three different locations it's installed in. Firstly your "MyDocuments" folder, where you should find an ARMA 2 or ARMA 2 OA folder. Secondly your ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead, which you can access through Steam. Thirdly inside your ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead there will be an "Expansion\Addon" folder. Check all of those for existing DayZ Mod installs and if possible get rid of them all. Then reinstall.
