You don't need it. You can use both Steam's server browser as well as in the ingame one. There's no need for third party software and we don't officialy support it.

Do you have both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead installed on Steam? If you have, have you tried launching them both first before playing? If you do, please direct to the folder you have ARMA 2 installed in and copy the content of your "AddOns" folder to the "Common" folder located in your ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead folder. You will be prompted as to whether you want to override the existing files. You will want to do that. Then try again.

This sounds like an ARMA 2 error, not a standalone error. What are you trying to play?

That's the way of things. It's an expensive hobby and a true "mutant pc" or "beast pc" will set you back well over 1,000€. A good GPU alone will set you back about 500-700€.

I have built myself an intel-based machine solely for gaming. This applies not only to DayZ, as most games are happier with Intel-CPU's. If you can find good deals you'll be able to build a machine based on the best CPU-performance available for less than 500€.

DayZ doesn't really like the whole AMD-affair, it especially doesn't use 8 cores at a time, which is your problem here. Most (not all, but most) games tend to like less cores with more power on each core, as they can't utilize more than 2 or 4 cores at a time with a real payoff. This will change in the future, but solely for gaming you may have gone the wrong route with a 8320, I'm afraid.

I don't know what you mean? The mod is still in ongoing development and you can actually already either create your own map or tie in DayZ Mod with existing maps, just see how Namalsk did it. And Epoch is doing it as well, it's just a matter of knowledge about ARMA 2 and scripting. If you do not know how to do that you should read up on it first anyway, as it's possible but not the easiest thing to do.

Three things that immediately spring to mind: I always hated that tie, but my wife bought it. It wasn't my idea to pay Ruby, always told Silvio it's a bad idea. Your full specs would be helpful, including load on CPU and network when playing.
