It is not even clear that his implementation will be in the final game, as everything is subject to change. This is the very reason it's not worth raging about it. And the feedback being brought forth in this thread isn't constructive feedback about this very early stage of the implementation - it's essentially just "Devs are shit, shoes don't wear down in 30 minutes of game" - and this will not be accepted. If you can give constructive feedback leaving out the time it takes to wear down a shoe and how it's implemented at this time you can discuss it all you like. Considering this is the very first iteration of item-degradation and this mechanic being tested in experimental build I don't want to hear anymore "the degradationrate is unrealistic". It's not supposed to be realistic, it's supposed to be tested right now. The rate of degradation is high up there to check the effects on the player, the health and any major flaws with the system popping up. If you think this mechanic breaks your experience, don't play experimental. There is no point coming here complaining about something that is supposed to be tested right now, so please don't. Also - - you know exactly that you're not supposed to do this and you know exactly you have been urged to use MultiQuote.

Hardly scientific. Stay on the eastcoast after spawn and 5 / 10 will be due to scripting. Go inland as furthest west as possible and you will survive 10 times longer and never die to anything like that.

If you're installing over Steam you don't need to download anything extra, as it's in the Steam Stable-Branch. You will immediately download 1.63 when downloading off Steam (which you have to do anyway).

The steps you took sound good from my perspective. You do not need the Beta Patch anymore, as it's now on the Stable Branch on Steam with the last update. If you're going to include a screenshot or even just the general message of error you're getting when trying to join a server, that would be greatly appreciated.

This is something known. It doesn't always happen for everyone and it doesn't always look the same for everyone, most definitely not happening for the person in question. It is a bug at the moment.

In the Video Settings you have two differen resolution-settings. Just match them to the native resolution of your monitor and make sure they're both the same. You should be able to change them both.

Do you have ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead installed? If so, go to settings in the DayZCommander and double-check if the paths are correct. Also, make sure you're posting in the correct section, as this is the Standalone section, not related to the mod.

Generally if there is no money involved in distributing the app itself and you're not making any money (even if indirectly via advertisement) you are going to be fine.
