You will have to contact the Admin of that server, as this is down to them to fix. Nothing we nor you can do.

You can chose who's playing on your server, which is the purpose of Private Shards. This is how big communities did it way back in the mod as well. There were no reliable tools back then either. The best way was to control who is joining your server with a sophisticated whitelisting-process. Start searching for a solution on your own behalf first.

There are different methods on how to achieve it and BEC is just a thirdparty-application that isn't official. The tutorial doesn't have to be complete. Their method of achieving the restarts is really not what I would use, as it starts counting down from the restart, making it restart (for example) exactly 2 hours after the last restart. Hardly good scheduling, as the server can crash midway.

As a Server-Admin of a Private Shard you have the ability to password / whitelist your server. You will have to make your whitelisting-process better if you have hackers on your server instead of having to use kill logs.

Must have to do with the fact that this resolution is really only supported on mobile phones or monitors from 1998 - not surprised it's hard to set on a 2014 game. What I meant to say is: don't get sweary if you haven't ruled out it's a problem on your side.

But just to make sure you're understanding how the system works: We're fixing something internally in our Development-Builds and you will not see the fixes until the new patch is released. Patch 1.8.2 was released on August 4th - 1.8.3 will not be released just yet (but hopefully soon) - obviously you will not see any changes if you only had this problem for a week.

What facts are those? That the mod didn't have anything like the shoes wearing out? Being a Developer I am fairly certain we never ruled something like that out because of gameplay-purposes. It was simply not possible as a Mod.

You could just go play Left 4 Dead if this is what you want, you know? This is not your normal Zombie-Game - it is a Survival-Game and the extra horror is created by the Infected lurking about. That shoes are going to degrade over time was already announced by rocket even before the Early Access was even available on Steam. None of the points you are bringing forth is really suggesting that you want to play DayZ the way it's meant to be and even though you're claiming people want something else (which I doubt is the case with the actual DayZ-Fanboys) - I am very happy that Bohemia is producing this, as it will never go the way you want it to go. I didn't really have anything to add to my post, which is why I am juswt going to quote this post, as it sums it up quite nicely.
