People have been complaining for a long time, that there is nothing such as fatigue in the game and that you could run around endlessly without being punished. This has changed now. I think I would get hot as well ifI had a vest, jacket and a huge backpack and sprinting all the time. Just remember: don't sprint all the time anymore. You are correct.

He is not the first guy saying this. It's popping up on this Forum literally every day. This is mostly down to the fact that people are uninformed about how the process and development works. I do not and I hope they're going for it in one way or another (or rather know). But Basebuilding is not what Epoch is or what made Epoch. Epoch is: 1,000,000,000 vehicles / serverRidiculous Sky-BasesRocketlaunchersGunshipsJetsTanksDonatorperksTraders with unlimited StockGodmode-SafezonesAnd I truly hope this won't come. Epoch was never survival-esque basebuilding. That's what I meant with my post. I hope that none of the single voices in the community (not even mine) will make a difference in a game over 2.5 million play. The community as a whole is something different, though.

It is always a good idea to run one game with a different port. IE run your partner's game just normally and add this to your launchparameters on Steam: -port=2310 This way you're making sure it's not an issue with the connection in the same network.
-
Are those connected at the same time? IE a friend / partner / brother / priest playing at the same time?

With the Report-Button at the bottom of each post. But that's enough of the Offtopic.

You should have reported, friend. This backseat moderating doesn't help anyone.

Anyone else see 0 servers up this morning?
kichilron replied to BuddyAcesIsrael's topic in General Discussion
Please search before posting. It is widely known and available information that Wednesdays is Maintenance-Day. Also has been published, that there will be extended downtime for the update. -
The priority isn't a problem at all. It's a good thing. Because you would have more work if you would do it differently. Let me explain to you: Current priority: Add all stuff inTakes 10 monthsFix all the bugsTakes another 10 months Sums up to 20 months The priority the community demands: Fix all the (current) bugsTakes 5 monthsAdd more contentTakes 10 monthsFix the bugs that were introduced by adding new features and accessoriesTakes another 10 months Sums up to 25 months Note, that my numbers are purely made up. But this is how it would like if it would work the way the community requests it. And I am very happy that the Dev-Team is not approaching it this way. It is just my personal oppinion and I labeled it as such. I highly doubt that the Dev-Team is going to be going that way anyway, but I also very much doubt that something I said on the side and labeled it as my oppinion will affect the Dev-Team at all.

Hello and welcome to the Forum, Sadly, this is not the way it's working, as: The Animators / designers aren't the one fixing bugsSame goes for Map-DevelopmentYou can't tell a Map-Developer to go fix the Zombies. It was published that adding content will have highest priority before fixing content, to make sure nothing will be broken when adding more contentHopefully we will never get anything "like it was on Epoch Servers"As far as vehicles / transportation goes - it's currently being hyped. Which is why I suggest you read up on the Dev-Tracker / -Blog first. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/138-devtracker/ http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/134-development-blogs-status-reports/ Vehicle Preview: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/214343-twitter-peter-vroom-vroom-vehicle-preview/ EDIT: Please don't advertise this thread by posting in other sections. This is crossposting and against the rules.

Look who it is. :) Remember, everyone: there would have been a chance for anyone to take part and ask their own questions. Don't blame others for not asking those questions. Please don't get caught up in "What if's". For the time being let's remember that this is giving us a good insight of what's going on and that it was a good thing Chris did.

Will There Ever be "Epoch" for Standalone?
kichilron replied to cheeseburger8's topic in General Discussion
This may be a better question to ask on the Epoch Forum than the Standalone Forum. Epoch and Standalone are in no way connected at all. Epoch was merely using the DayZ Mod as a base for its own version of it - but since the team has moved on to developing for ARMA 3. But as I said - these questions are to be asked on the Epoch-Forum, not here. We wouldn't know what their intentions are. -
Please Fix The Zombies Before Adding New Content
kichilron replied to Mister_Mc_Muffin's topic in Suggestions
Haven't had one of these topics in a while. Whilst I understand your concerns, the Developers have made clear how the development process is going to work. First content will be added and then things will be fixed. This is to assure that none of the fixes will be broken again when adding more content. It would be double the work. Zombie-Feedback (constructive) can be found / posted here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/182234-do-zombies-dream-of-a-good-nights-sleep-zombie-feedback/ Information on the Development-Progress can be found here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/134-development-blogs-status-reports/- 1 reply

Servers with connection issues to central hive
kichilron replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
Would be a great idea to have this thread somewhere, for example in the official announcement-section. Merged. Please read before posting. In most cases threads are around already. -
It will improve, eventually.
-
It is a known issue and will hopefully get better soon. The game has (due to it being Early Access Alpha) yet to get any optimisation. This also isn't exactly state of the art.

If you have nothing constructive to add, don't post at all. Topic cleaned / comments in question hidden.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
kichilron replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
If this is the case I must go and tell everyone, as the entire industry has been doing it wrong for years. I also have to tell the Greeks that their alphabet is wrong and that Beta has to be first letter in the alphabet, before Alpha. -
I give this bandit a second chance at survival, but he doesn't learn his lesson..

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
kichilron replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
What do you mean? Beta comes after Alpha and isn't here yet. You are correct. It will be taken care of in Beta. Which isn't for another few months. -
