How so, exactly?

The guy creating Taviana joined the Origins team and had an exclusive deal with them. Now that Origins is discontinued.

I too had one of my best times on Taviana, but it hasn't been updated in over 1.5 years and will not be in the future anymore - son don't expect any servers to pop up.

DayZCommander is obsolete, as it won't fetch any new servers anymore. You can throw it away. It's useless.

Realistically what would be found on a deerstand, though? Or in a castle for that matter? It's not just about "making it worth it" - we have to balance out the realism / immersion components as well.

You can do groups in Steam and enter the live chat of DayZ there. The effort to get something like that on here would be far too big for it not being really beneficial.

Don't bother using DayZCommander, as it isn't working properly anymore. Use DayZ-Launcher.

First Mouse Button: Fire Second Moue Button: Zoom Those are left and right. Now to the extra ones: Hold breathCompass (if available -> not applicable to DayZ SA)This is the perfect setup for me. By default hold breath and Zoom is the same button, hence why so many people complaing about being out of breath the entire time while running about and doing nothing but "scanning their environment". If you have two separate buttons for each you have a win/win situation. Compass is very important for Military simulations and in standard ARMA you don't have to get your compass out and in your hand like in SA. This leads to being able to call out locations, distance, bearing almost immediately, not having to reach out for another button on the keyboard for the compass.

I was driving one only the other day. If you are constantly trying to go uphill you are obviously going to have problems. But as soon as you level it out it's fine. No such thing as 6 kph maximum speed, not even uphill. If you start accelerating going uphill and never even start changing the way you're going and just drive uphill you're obviously not going to cut it. There was no nerf, I was driving through a forest doing over 50 kph and literally pissed myself, because it doesn't lose any speed whatsoever when going offroad.

DayZ is only available through Steam and thus reacquiring missing files is as easy as following these steps: Rightclick DayZ Go to "Properties" In the window that opens hit the "Local Files" Tab Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" Anything that's missing will be redownloaded.

This will be the case at a later date, for now it's just a placeholder-mechanic

It will take a while to get used to and depending on how you're going to use it you will always find yourself adjusting it further, because there's so many things to adjust and keep in mind that it's never quite perfect. I have mine for close to 1.5 years now and I am still adjusting the settings and position from time to time. Bonus: Gives yourself that little bit extra advantage in 1st Person servers, but keeps you away from those 3rd Person ones.

You would need power for that to work. You don't have power in an apocalypse unless you have a generator, which needs fuel. See the problem here? Everyone else, keep the offtopic to a minimum or I'll have to step in.

The V3S will spawn with a little bit of fuel, but you will have to find Jerry Cans to refuel it again - as it will run out fairly quickly. That being said,though. It's not too bad. I have been driving for longer than I thought I would last night.

Noone other than the Admin has control over Private Hives of the Mod. Not to mention, that neither Namalsk nor Overwatch nor Epoch are related to this Forum. Even if anyone had power over those servers, this wouldn't be the place.

You may just kick yourself out of this very quickly with that attitude. 8) Hypocrisy: Please don't break the rules to stop other rule breakers, or to prove a point. Just because they did it, doesn't mean you can do it as well, nor should you evade a ban to prove a 'point'.
