I do have a question, though: Why exactly do you need to know the location of a server? You can filter for ping and that's effectively the only thing that matters, not how far away from the server you are.

If you're bothered with losing your gear and your character being reset, DayZ won't be a game for you - doesn't matter whether it's in Alpha or not. Rule #1 in DayZ

I am afraid you could have stopped yourself right there. All of what you suggested is not bad game design - it's exactly how it's supposed to be. The game will never be what you expect it to be if your approach is to google everything instead of testing it out yourself. This is what the game is all about in the end. It was once described by its creator as the ultimate Anti-Game and what he wants it to be. Pretty much all of what you're describing here will reassure the Devs that this has worked. Let me give you examples: I - personally - would have thought about changing my shoes first before sitting down for a while and then continuing in a scenario like this. If there's a reason that my feet hurt than that reason won't be removed if I just sit down for a while. It doesn't change the fact that the shoes caused my feet to hurt in the first place and thus I wouldn't consider it bad design - I consider it good design. No, no - please god no. I don't want to be taken by the hand and have everything explained to me. If I'd want that, I'd watch a movie. This is not the experience I am looking for and the very reason I play DayZ in the first place, because it doesn't do any of that sort. After all it boils down to the premise of the game and what Dean had in mind when first creating the experience of DayZ (note that I didn't say game): What happens if you're being thrown into the apocalypse for the first time? You'd have to figure stuff out - not have some offscreen voice explain it to you or have a menu pop up in your face.

It has already been adjusted a few patches back - so Industrial was out the question for a while now. Last patch they only spawned at Crashsites and Aircraft-Hangars.

Currently only spawn on Heli-Crashes.

If you are experiencing issues with not being able to see the AppData folder on your computer it's most probably due to the fact that you haven't enabled being able to see hidden folders. In order to change this, follow these steps: Open your Windows Explorer Click "View" on the top bar. Select "Options" and then "Folder and Search Options". Select the "View" tab in the window that popped up. Under "Files and Folders" search for "Hidden files and folders" and select the option to "Show hidden files, folders and drives." Click "OK" or "Apply" to save the changes Done.

The hive has been down for about 9-10 months now - can't remember the exact date. DayZCommander is also out of date and hasn't been updated for about 6-7 months. Don't use it. Use Steam to launch DayZ Mod.

That's not how it works. Infact - it's a simple E-Mail. As long as you include the IP and some evidence it's about 3-4 lines.

Sownload DayZ Mod from Steam and launch it through that.

I feel like the only joke here is your thread, considering this is the very first implementation of them (as you have mentioned yourself): I don't feel like this is even worth a suggestion, considering it is more than clear that more variations are going to come - especially considering the mod-version of the V3S with its carriage held about 14 people, if I remember correctly. Care to explain to me why this is a worthwhile suggestion and not pointing out the obvious, confirmed facts?

That is quite badass. Looking good, I know it's always a blast to get an upgrade and to try it out. Have you tried any other stuff to gain a little bit more performance?
