Sadly you're the one with the misconceptions here. First and foremost: your ping does not affect your framerate. It's literally just the time it takes for your commands (jumping, taking items in your inventory, using items) to reach the server. That's all. Your frames aren't being computed by the server, thus ping doesn't affect your framerate. Second of all: 30 FPS looks like shit in games and makes a noticeable difference because in movies you're not moving as quickly as you do in a game. That's why it is causing nausea and a general feeling of it "not being right". 60 FPS solves this. This video will cover everything you need to know:

DayZ:SA in dire need of optimization
kichilron replied to The Dayz Dawg's topic in General Discussion
Would you be so kind as to point out which Moderator has been breaking any rules, so it can be acted upon, Dawg? And, incase I have not been clear enough: doing this publicly is never a good idea, a PM is more suited. If in doubt, this PM has to go to boneboys, as he's the one that keeps the Moderators in boundaries on here. -
Those will not be deleted. Ever. It's not stored on your Computer, it's stored in the Steam-DB, which you will never be able to control / manipulate. Other than that, go to your "Documents"-folder and search for the "DayZ" Folder. Delete the folder with your username and everything should be reset (controls / video / audio / game - settings)

You do know that ARMA 3 is made by the same company, right? Thus, it's safe to say that client optimisation will come, but not in the Alpha-State. Anyone that bought ARMA 3 in the Alpha will remember that its performance was terrible at the beginning as well.

Yes, of course.

Zombies Unite *NEW* Custom DayzEpoch Server

Locked at OP's request. -
I do usually make my fans vibrate as well.

We are in no way affiliated with neither Epoch nor Overwatch and especially not with the combination of them two. If you want help, you will have to search for their Forum. Ontop of that is the fact that DayZCommander is outdated, you'll not be able to achieve much with that anyway.

Change is upon you, whether you would risk it or not. An OS that is 15 years old won't do you any good. EDIT: Whoever figures out the quote will get a cookie and maybe even a hug from me.

I am not talking specifically DayZ - generally speaking - why would you have a 32 bit system? You can find 4 GB RAM unbranded for as little as 30$ and that will not even be utilised by Windows. The only reason to go with a 32 bit system is because you bring forth that you don't have enough RAM (well, other than the processor being x86 based, but that's not a thing anymore, is it now?). If you don't have enough RAM these days - I am sorry - that is an excuse. Everyone can. Not only is there no reason to go 32 Bit - it's also a massive problem its causing with any application (not only gaming) - as mentioned above.

Obviously you know everything about the Gaming Industry and the half life (HA!) of games when the only thing you can come up with to describe one of the most groundshaking games of the indie-industry is "shitty".

Only if you have hacked the registry or are a major company the updates will still come. Officially it has ended and there's 0 reason for any customer to use it. Same thing goes for 32 Bit. There's no upside over 64 bit, only downsides. We need this kind of behaviour by everyone, actually. If everybody would just stop supporting 32 bit we would be better off in general.

Make sure to report them and they will be taken down.

It's not random, it mostly happens when the server has too much to handle. This can be caused by numerous reasons. But it's one of the Alpha-Things you can't influence as a player.

Not your PC that is an issue when it comes to Desync.

It was confirmed some time back that in the future 32 bit will not be supported. I don't know if this is what has happened now. In either case: if you're a gamer - there is 0 reason to have a 32 bit version. And btw - you shouldn't be using Windows XP anymore. Extended Support for that officially ended last year. There will be major security-issues if you keep using it. Don't expect anyone to support it and that you're sitting on a timebomb.

I always had massive problems trying to do that.

Just for reference here, what OS is everybody running? Please be as specific as possible. WinXP 32WinXP 64Win Vista 32Win Vista 64Win 7 32Win 7 64Win 8 32Win 8 64

Speaking of which, what are your launchparameters anyway?

Dayz - Obs - Game capture - 34" 3440X1440 ( 21/9 )
kichilron replied to Xtadeus's topic in Troubleshooting
You most likely messed something up when editing the .cfg Did you make a backup? If not, try deleting it. If it's the native resolution of your monitor, you will most likely be able to set it in the ingame-settings - no need to edit the .cfg -
New Server Providers will to my knowledge not be whitelisted as easily - especially if they don't have a standing. Any GSP that hosts Standalone-Servers used to be hosting DayZ Mod Servers for multiple years before being approved as "Trusted Hoster". This is needed, as the serverfiles are not public, nor is the access to the central Database. You can, however, try to contact on here and see what you will achieve.

Forget DayZ and H1Z1 – Try out Arma 3’s Epoch Mod
kichilron replied to Souljudge's topic in General Discussion
This Forum is not for Epoch, not even for ARMA 3. ARMA 3 Discussion can be found here in the Offtopic-section. Oh, and: H1Z1 can be found here. -
Take a look at this and see if it helps: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/220053-memory-problem/

Always a smart idea to check first. ;)
