Very good job! I managed to keep myself alive for almost that exact amount of days. I've never bothered about any sort of vehicles, except for a bicycle I had for a week, but I tend to lose those things. I always made my way through the woods to the next patient. I've had everything on me, no tent, went hunting if I needed something. I didn't feel bothered about going to town, only if I had to restock on medical supplies, but for that reason I always went on a night server to avoid the Z's. To be honest: I feel a bit reliefed, now that I've lost my character to a scriptkiddie, as I don't need to bother about too much security for myself. Oh - and I died to a scriptkiddie trying to fix up a Little Bird with another medic. Should've stayed in the forests without a vehicle ;-)

The Winchester is THE best common weapon ingame. Almost no bullet drop, if you check barns / cities regularly, you'll never run out of ammo. If you can work with the iron sights, it's the best thing to start with.

So, it's true - there are actually tanks in DayZ 2017. They are a bit bugged though, only thing needed is fuel. And quite a lot of it. But even that is bugged, actually. As a friend and I were driving down from NWAF to Elektro with almost no fuelloss. Take a look at them - they're actually pretty cool. AND: They come with a chair ontop of it. btw: textures for the tank are only loading, when near. You can see that with the 2nd one we got.

If you look closely, you'll see, that there's no gun attached to it. Instead it's got a chair. Which is even better in my opinion. The "normal" tank is a loading bug. If you move closer, it's having its normal skin.

It's worth it.

Any news about the animals? I've seen you posting about that, Sumrak. And I've seen, that I'm not the only one experiencing this. I might give it a try frapsing it the next time I come across an animal.
