There are wellvisited First-Person-Only-Servers out there. They're crowded because there aren't many that do it. And as soon as a Server has 3rd enabled you can't not use it, because you've got a massive disadvantage. I wouldn't worry about using 3rd in general if it's enabled - still we need more 1st-Person-Servers. -

I'm pretty sure the mods can figure that out by themselves and actually do something about it and maybe even hand out tips for the OP. Have you tried one of those famous guides? They actually give you a couple of nice hints what setting affect your FPS and what doesn't and is only for looks. But it will actually lag in cities sometimes anyway. I somehow doubt that. Why would an admin spawn in Zombies and / or Soldiers? Sciddies usually say that they're admins, though. And that that is the reason they have those powers. Even though that's nowhere near the truth. -
Not really. The publichives are simply empty these days so sciddies are barely attracted to those anymore. When you're playing on a nonwhitelisted average Private Hive with no antihack you're even more likely to be killed by scriptkiddies and you can't even switch servers to dodge them and keep playing. That simply doesn't apply anymore as there are publichives out there that are administrated better than the TONS of Private Hives that aren't administrated at all.

Where exactly are you throwing the flare? In buildings and on roads the engine sometimes doesn't recognize the flare or that the environment should be lit up and it appears to be dark while you're actually carrying a flare. If you test out certain areas and surfaces and it still won't work, there's something wrong. But especially inside cities it is kind of normal, yet unpredictable.

No worries. I was just wondering. There are actually a lot of things out there where it is solved like that. First thing that would come to my mind is Epoch - I think? And quite obviously militarybased mods, where you actually pass out when carrying too much and running too long and such. If you really like it go ahead and test those things out. But for the standalone that is no from me.

Switch the server, try different locations - in the middle of Cherno doesn't help with the best computer. You wouldn't be the first time. And if you're on a crowded server (more than 10 people), that hasn't been restarted for a whil or isn't administrated properly in general you get that. The servers currently use 103718 and not the latest version. Try downgrading to that version using DayZCommander.

Make sure you've got the correct DayZ- and Arma 2-version and actually have it enabled. How do you join the server? Do you use DayZCommander?

Guys, back to topic, if I may ask? <_< I've actually tried the server and I quite liked it. I've never tried Epoch before, but the additions the admins made to that server - it's just great. So much time they've spent and it's really worth it.

You don't gain humanity by killing bandits. And if you would, it wouldn't be enough to kill 2 bandits to go from banditskin to heroskin. Simply impossible. And as for "friendly fire": It doesn't really exist between bandits, does it? They would have killed you anyway.
