It has been stated, that a certain amount of control over the server is necessary and there's an easy fix for the massive duping-problem out there and you need access for that and R4Z0R49 even posted the fix on this forum so it's fairly easy to apply. But if you don't get access to any of the files there's nothing serveradmins can do these days and the reason people say publichive isn't secure. Of course it isn't when you can't even have an antihack installed on your server. It would all be so much easier and there's barely any reason do keep the ability from serveradmins these days, especially as so many hostingcompanys out there already offer the ability to do these already anyway.

Hello everyone We, the Trusted Medics of the Wasteland, have our own Private Server for a while as well. For you all that seems like we're a bit behind the times, but that isn't really our place to operate on, as we're still holding the flag for publichive to make it a place you can survive and have fun. But we thought it would be good idea to advertise that you can shoot your beloved medic in the face if you want to do so. Our Rules of Engagement allow to do anything we want on our Playground, so be aware that we might shoot you, even though it is one of our servers. We're not really into heavily editing our server, but there are some things that are changed. Completely redone Vehiclespawns. Your DB-Map won't help you. Added Buildings. Added wrecks with possible Vehicleparts next to it. AI in certain places. These places are a bit like "Sector B" on Origins. You know where to go - there's AI there, though. But also PHAT LOOTZ. Shoot your favorite medic in the face!

Make sure you've got the correct version of DayZ on your side installed, as you sometimes just don't load in your character when you've got the wrong version.

? I don't get it. Are you the admin of the server and gave yourself 110,000 humanity to have the heroskin and then shoot freshspawns?

There are different AI's. Some are bandits, some are survivors. Bandits usually shoot at you instantly, survivors only when you're below a certain humanity-level. Are you sure that you didn't lose humanity by killing those AI? They might have been survivors and if so, you lose humanity for shooting them.

It's pretty safe to say that I've never knowingly posted on the Offtopic-Section. I sometimes even forget it's there. I personally hate reddit and I don't know why rocket spends more time there than here. But I guess there are places for everything and reddit has more "characters" lingering, even though the quality mostly is worse.

Make sure you type in Sidechat. If you type in other channels there's the chance that they won't see it, as "Direct Comm." is just your direct sorrounding.

It depends. I personally wouldn't generally trust people with my server just like that. But seeing as Amber is the Community-Support on here and trying to sort problems like yours is basically what he does on here I'd say it's okay to trust him ;-) As for myself - the only thing that qualifies me is that I'm the head-admin of the Trusted Medics of the Wasteland and I could help you out tomorrow, if you send me a PM.
