I don't know if anyone has thought about this yet, but a lot of people come on here saying, that they get shit FPS on DayZ, while in reality they're just playing Epoch, hence the FPS-Drops. Since 1.8 DayZ runs extremely smooth and I can actually run through Cherno having 50 FPS or even record and still have 60 FPS. If you're playing Epoch however, that's a completely different story. EDIT: It's also extremely serverdependant. Try different servers.

Holy Christ, that's a lot of bumps in a very short time. If you really want people playing on your server, it will take a bit more than a "bump".

More than likely that it's possible to do, but how exactly would you want to do it? Just giving a "Gear"-option when you're near the house? People will complain about losing their gear, because they will just put stuff in the house ;-) You could alternatively manually add woodpiles around said house that would be spawned in everytime the server restarts, just like you would create custom buildings on a server. That way you could theoretically pick them up.

This not only applies for Z's, but for players as well. You will find yourself more often than you like being cornered by Z's if you shoot at someone in town. Not to mention, that you're going to shake all over the place when you've just been running over 4-5 km and not be able to hit anything on target anyway.

Just to point that out: I wasn't saying "Yes" to disable TS, as I think that's a horrible idea - but I was saying: Yes - I am going to use Direct Chat a bit more, if the SA gets the quality sorted out.

If the voicecodec in the Standalone is better than ARMA, yes. It currently is simply horrible and 90% of the time you don't understand each others anyway.

I have had my experience with VILayer and their support as well. Can't say anything good aobut it, really. Even though I have never experienced any downtime due to DDoS-attacks.

As it was being stated a couple of times already, that it's supposed to be as minimalistic as possible and that's why I am fine with anything. There's no real need for an extremely good looking UI, when it's generally simple and not taking up much on your screen. If it's the complete opposite I think it is a necessity to look good. Other games have a lot of things going on on the screen and they either need to be customisable to look good or look good in the first place. I myself have played World of Warcraft quite a bad (yes, I have) and I was always working on my UI, as the default one was horrible and overloaded. I am a fan of simple things. Keep it simple, with a bit of black, grey and white and everything's going to be fine. Easy to do as well, I suppose. Get my stuff done, then!

When you see someone on YouTube playing the game they have been playing for months already and are most likely experienced with how the ARMA-Engine and movement works beforehand. It's not an easy game and many things to learn, but that's the way it's supposed to be. Zombies are deadly - we're in an apocalypse. Deal with it. ;-p

Oh, wow. That's not stereotypical or anything. When you have to show off your scripts like that there's barely a chance your balls dropped yet at all.

And we do help. We told you, that you shouldn't try to adjust your BE-filters to kick for crashing a heli. And like Richie said - just get yourself an AH, if you really want something. Saying there's nothing you can do is just plain wrong. Especially when someone's nuking your server you can't tell us that there's nothing in your logs. There is plenty of things you can do. You will never stop working on those things, though. And if you can't invest the time / effort to search for those things and ALWAYS adjust them you will not make a good admin. As sad and bad that sounds - that's the way it works. Being an admin requires a lot of work. It is just a trend on DayZ that everyone gets a server while noone maintains them. Usually there's more than one person running a server - this often is not happening on DayZ and that's what's creating the bad reputation of a serveradmin in DayZ in general.

As Fluxley said - you should always contact the specific admin of the server you're playing on with those sorts of issues
