I have heard rumors of being able to respawn when you switch your gender in the main menu and save it. Try it out and report back. :)

A little bit down the road it is planned to be able to do all the things you mention. But right now it's far off in the distance, as it's just not worth getting those things to work in the early-access. It will come eventually - but right now they're focussing on other stuff.

I wouldn't say it's health related - I would rather say it means you're actually hungry / thirsty. I experienced it helps to drink and eat whenever you get any messages. This keeps the messages at a minimum and I have yet to die to hunger / thirst.

Did you play the mod 1.5 years ago when it was "released"? I highly doubt so, because it was way less playable than what the SA is now and yet a lot of people spend more money on ARMA 2 OA in order to be able to play it than they now spend on SA. ARMA 2 Combined Operations was 25€ at the time and SA now is 23€ - and many bought ARMA for the sole purpose to be able to play the DayZMod. Whether you like it or not - it's playable and well worth the money.

So, that's what they spend their time with. :P

Obviously not the mod, but you posted this in regards of the SA. In an earlier build it was causing the skeleton not to load in and you were floating about as a T with your arms stretched out. I haven't had the time to test it out yet, but it's to be used with caution

There currently is no way to store items so they will survive a restart. The only way to keep gear is to have it on your body and not die. :)

I have used it myself on the Mosin, for which the 7.62 Ammo is as well, by the way. But I have heard you can use it on the M4 as well. There is no AKM (yet).

It does say that the Alpha-state is going to be lasting more than a year, which would leave us with alot of change between patches on a regular basis. I believe they're not planning on releasing the testbuilds to public, but be testing it before pushing it to all servers, so there's the change that you will be playing fairly uninterrupted if you don't want to be part of experimental builds. The experimental builds were being updated multiple times a day back in testing, though. Bugs will be fixed as soon as possible and there will be tons of new updates coming soon enough, but for now I would say we all go back to enjoying the game, especially as it just came out, christmas is near - and we don't want to see Dean collapsing, as he's been working enough / too much over the past year of development. :)

I don't think they climb. However- they run indoors and do all sorts of crazy stuff to make your life a pain. You are very likely to be trapped when climbing up ladders, though. They are currently still experiencing problems with walls / doors, though. So they won't open them, they might just phase through them. That's actively being worked on to change it, though. So don't worry about it. :)

Good one. Should give it a try. Doesn't hurt. You need to watch out with those startupparameters, though. There was a point where it caused massive issues using those launchparamters to a point being unable to play.

There's disinfectant spray, as the rags you craft out of a T-Shirt you have been wearing and sweating, bleeding into or robbing through dirt with is hardly antiseptic, whereas bandages are.

I remember him stating otherwise. From what I last heard it was going to be 20€ on release, where 23€ is definitely in that range. This statement is a while back - maybe even last year around this time. The Standalone already offers many different features the mod will never have, such as crafting, an inventorysystem suited to the needs of DayZ, better animations, and more and more. Comparing it to the features of the mod because of the price is a bit unnecessary. The mod is still worth getting, especially with the new updates coming out.
